Depending on your play style, Hotfix 1.0.2.2 was either a great success or a tremendous failure. I am not here to talk about that or the weapons affected. Today is about the underdog, the black sheep, the pulse rifle. By design this weapon is suppose to be viable mid/long range but it has yet to live up to these standards. Pre and post patch, the pulse rifle is out dueled by AR, Fusion, & Shotguns close range. That is understandable due to the burst fire and lack of damage. Long range this weapon will face defeat against Scouts and Snipers. Okay Mid Range! This is where this weapon will shine! WRONG. At mid range the pulse rifle is either too slow or doesn't do enough damage to outperform ARs, Fusions, Shotguns (not certain post patch), & even Scout Rifles post patch. All this is a major concern for people who want to use the Pulse Rifles. If we could just receive some official word that it will be addressed in the near future, I'm sure that will be more than satisfying for the moment.
