Any good way to farm vanguard rep?

This post is old but idc. U can do your bounties then go into vanguard heroic strikes put on your rep booster and get a class item with vanguard champion on it run through the strike.at the end wait 4 the countdown to finish cuz of the streak.i got nearly 300 rep every strike

I realize this post may be old. Not sure. But I used to struggle to level my vanguard and, when I saw the introduction of vanguard commendations, I was angry. Once I started doing the nightfallIs and weekly heroics every reset Tuesday, my vanguard reputation was going up around twice a week. I make it a point to do all of the vanguard bounties daily if I can. That's 500-600 a day plus the patrol points. It seems like I level my vanguard every week when I complete the nightfall. I now have around 25 vanguard commendations in my vault and nothing to use them for. I started a 3rd character a couple of weeks ago and got him to level 31 in a week. I've already run Crota's End with him twice. I actually was able to do it my first week. He's now rank 5 or do with vanguard. The only problem with leveling that fast is you don't spend hours and hours picking up armor and weapons to break down. So I have run into the problem of not having enough hadronic essence (warlock) for his armor upgrading. With my first character (Titan) I played a few hundred hours and never had s shortage of plasteeel plating. But I'm breaking myself buying low level armor just to break down for the hadronic essence. That's been my toughest problem. Even though I give every armor engram earned by my other characters to him it's still not enough. I wish there was a way to buy those materials. It takes 25 for each armor upgrade slot until you reach the last row where shards are required. And breaking down a piece of armor only gives you 1 or 2 material each time.

4 Repliesstep 1: do nightfall strike. this gives you 500 rep AND a 20% boost to all rep and exp gains for the week. step 2: do weekly at highest level possible, get rep for that. step 3: make sure you are doing your dailies. I think these give you increased rep from normal strikes. step 4: after you have all these done, start working on tiger strikes to get engrams and 32 rep per completion ( if you have nightfall buff) step 5: if you find yourself getting bored of strikes go on patrol while farming resources. this is just as effective. if you get bored off this, back to strikes. wash rinse repeat. hope this helped!

Take the dead orbit mark off your warlock and everything will go to the vanguard.

Nightfall, Weekly, Daily then just grind the strike playlight. Plus bounties.

4 RepliesGet all the bounties the tracker sells turn them in each day and do roc strikes and patrol after that.

1 ReplyDo bounties every day. Do patrol missions. Especially the 'eliminate the target' patrol missions. Each one of those is worth 25 rep. Even if your bounties are not mission related, do missions while you do your bounties.

roc strikes & vip patrol missions, do nightfall and weekly L30 first

VIP patrols or grab two friends and camp out in different areas on earth and just keep grabbing patrols. Goes pretty quick.

Best way is a team in patrol. Separate in the cosmodrome and you have priority VIP Kill everything Collect Scan Compass Doing this is the best way to rank in vanguard, dead orbit, New monarchy, and FWC

Nightfall and weekly can get you near 1k rep I use it for leveling new monarchy

1 ReplyDo the nightfall and then weekly that way you get the nightfall bonus. Then you can hit earth patrol and look for the "kill target" missions. I always go Steppes>Divide>Rocketyard and then hit orbit and repeat.

2 RepliesBounties 'n strikes. Also, you can turn in upgrade material at the vanguard quartermaster (?) for rep and marks. If you do the Nightfall strike you'll get a 25% bonus on all rep gains, it's best to do it early in the week
