So I've thought of a different version of destiny. How I believe the game should've began for us guardians. I hope you all enjoy this short little tale, this ISNT the end! I plan on continuing this for awhile but I hope it picks up on views and comments! Chapter One --Monologue of the speaker-- "The world has gone dark since that day. The day the darkness found us. We had built cities beyond our forefathers dreams in locations only few imagined. The traveler was what changed our way of life. We expanded like never before, exploring planets and soon developing cities. The human race reached peace. We as a species entered the Golden Age. But those days are long gone. Now we only hold safe points among different planets and a single fortress. The tower. The last known city. Protected by the travelers presence. (Through the eyes of a Titan class) As the monologue ends you hear another voice, this time more robotic. "Well well, looks like I have finally found you. It's time to wake up guardian." Lights start popping in the darkness, your eyes open and you immediately sit up. At first unable to breathe the ghost slows your heart rate allowing you to calm down allowing you to catch your breath. "It's ok guardian, I'm here, you've been dead for a long time now. You must've been here when the strike happened. Oh... You probably have no idea what I'm talking about. Let me explain. You're in New York City. You're currently in the elder building. The last place all the world leaders met when the darkness struck earth. You must've been a guard by looking at your armor. You're currently on the 35th floor. We have a long way down.. -silence sweeps the room- listen guardian, they're here. You need to get up now befo-" as the words fail to finish you hoisted up by your neck. The grip is tight, merciless. Your body pressed against a glass window. An invisible shimmer fades as a creature forms before your eyes. "It's the fallen guardian! Do something now!" all of your adrenalin is rushing, the veins in your arms pumping blood fast as possible. You immediately swing (storm fist) and a huge jolt of energy sends the enemy rag dolling through the air and you through the window. As fast as your guardian started to fall he lands on a high rise.(window cleaners would use these on sky scrapper as a side note lol). You look up in time to see a wire holding up one corner of the platform. You begins to slide uncontrollably to the edge, unable to hold on you let go completely. With one last chance of hope you grab the free hanging, snapped wire and swing yourself back through a glass window. Your guardian is bruised and bleeding. "Get up now guardian! I didn't come out here to see you die like this!" The fallen surround you and your ghost. You begin to slowly faint as a fallen grabs your legs and begins to drag you along the ground. You see a blood trail being left behind. You begin to think. It's all over. As fast I was reborn I'm dead again. Funny how a dead person still has that much blood. You suddenly hear gunshots. Your eyes still slowly fading. You hear body's drop followed by a soft, female voice whispering in your ear. "it's ok guardian, I'm here. Be brave." The world fades as your eyes shut completely. Give me criticism or love, I just want to hear from my community. >>>for people interested I've come up with a better armor system. I plan on showing it once I've thought out some of the problems. I hope when people start reading these that it shows bungie that players want a good story, not just a bunch of shooting and random loot. I actually want a character who developes into someone.
