After reaching level 28 a friend invited me to do the vault of glass I was a bit afraid at first hearing teams of guardians getting slaughtered by the evil within.but I accepted his invite and started from the beginning at was told to follow and shoot by the time we made to atheon I felt like I had things down I after a few dozen deaths I understood this was a extreme team building exercise. After we killed atheon we started to cheer jumping around tbagging the ground and got 2 pieces of raid gear. Now fast forward a few weeks I trying to do hard mode with the 2 Hunters I made trying to get THAT DAMN CHEST PIECE!
So how was your raiding experience good or bad?
-
Just did up to past Templar again and again all shards meanwhile a level 24 got gloves. I haven't even gotten a weapon. The raid is fun no doubt but the fact I have not gotten anything at all is disappointing and honestly pushing me away from the game since players who go first time get gear easily and I've done it about 5 or 6 times
-
It was fun, but I've only done it once. Not enough friends play Destiny, much less the raid.
-
Where's the "ton of fun, but very few rewards" option?
-
dont have any friends on the ps3 to ever attempt it :(
-
The first few stages are fun, interesting, different. The boss fights though are still boring, a drag, too similar to other elements of the game. I like the jumping puzzle, the maze, travelling through the world, the parts that make it a bit different to the regular missions. But the spongy boss battles are still just spongy boss battles. That said, I don't know how they could change it up as the whole game design is based on spongy boss battles?
-
Awesome... but they need to fix the broken portals at the end. They need to work correctly 100% of the time...
-
Only did it once from start to gatekeepers...
-
I've had a fairly good time in it. I've beaten it 6 or 7 times with ease the only thing I've been lacking is getting good loot. All I've gotten is shards and energy, the chatter white 5 times, 2 shotguns and a rocket launcher. I have not gotten the gear or weapons I've been wanting.
-
There should be more options. Like; Awesome! Too easy though, and RNG sucks. Cause I'd pick that one ^

Edited by shockwaveDS13: 10/13/2014 7:34:52 PMI quite enjoyed it. Played with 2 great teams and got through with ease, but i'm well pissed off with the last boss as he just stands there moveing left 'n' right trying to dogde the shield attacks but nothing else happens. I enjoy going through the portals to destroy the oracles, that was interesting but other than that the ending was crap. EDIT 1 If anyone wants help with VOC i'll gladly help as i'm bored and I don't mind going through it even though I might have already gotten the rewards. I'm on 360 so reply to me if you sent friend request.
-
Ass! still looking for the VOC but they keep giving me the AE!! Why bungie! I'm done!
-
ccouldn't tell ya lol every time I get in its all way a bunch of kids can't seem to find any adults to play with
-
I just have trouble finding good teams(some teammates are jerks) that has been my only problem that can't be answered with "your just having bad luck with the RNG".

Edited by XiixTryHardxiiX: 10/13/2014 7:14:35 PMFun the first time, after it's just an annoying drege trying to get raid gear.. (12 raids down, 3 raid gear to show for it..) 1 Raid helm for titan (Have two maxed exotic helms, so that's annoying.....) 1 Raid plate for titan, Also with the exotic spot, so esencially only 1 piece of equipable raid gear..... And 1 Warlock top.... and you guessed it, an exotic takes up that spot too.... Y U NO GIV ME GLOVES N BOOTS?!
-
It was fun but unable to get any gear from it absolutely everything I've gotten has been ascendant materials
-
none of the above. Its alright at best. Not really fun not really hard. Its so-so
-
I Love it. Also i'm looking for raiders to kill Atheon (the last boss on normal mode. Need it done asap as it refreshes tomorrow
-
Pretty not good.

Edited by Merffy: 10/13/2014 6:46:11 PMMy first raid: It was mid blowing, like you're taken to another planet irl. It was the most challenging thing I've ever played in a video game, seriously. Other raids after: Pff, easy.
-
had some cool ideas, fun at parts, but -blam!- minotaurs and all the other bullet spongey enemies. it glitched out and didn't bring us to the postgame screen thing so we didn't get our loot. overall I ended up with a few shards, 6ish energy, and the shader. massive load of bullshit 9/10
-
Awesome. Raiding is a blast, and I've finished the raid about 10 times. No raid gear though... fml.
-
Can't open the door.. Lol
-
Sadly still no experience with. Whatever, all friends i have doesnt play destiny anymore. If the Raid is the only Way to reach lvl 30, -blam!- it, I stay 29 then...
-
Non existant. Id love to do it but I have no mic so its not going to happen lol even though I've seen people do it countless times and I'm fairly certain I know what to do in comparison to someone who's never done it and has a mic. So until someone wants someone without a mic no raiding for me. ( I do appreciate the difficulty in not communicating though and can fully understand why I havent attempted it as of yet - also ill point out I'm against raid matchmaking).
-
I got the chest piece my second run but the perks don't even compare to my Luck Raspberry. Not really worried about getting to lvl 30 anyway. I still have a great time every time I play though
-
Did the raid for the first time last night on normal mode; it was a blast. The amount of team work it takes is awesome, definitely have to communicate. Walked away with 2 pieces of raid gear from my first run!
