One might say Light is the same as Itemlevel in other games and be quite right with that, but there is one big mistake in the concept.
While itemlevel on gear is a fix stat that represents the worth of all other stats on the item, light makes others stats nearly insignificant when it comes to endgame.
This destroys the whole playstyle and gear customization that is intended through the perks.
It would be better to have more different endgame items with a fix amount of light
and different perks.
And this amount of light shouldnt be part of the gear leveling system wich means raid gear should have 30 light and not less, so that i can level it up but wear it instantly when i get it.
