I hear everyone complaining about the loot caves getting patched and everything because it's harder to grind without them. Why not bring them back, so to speak. what i'm suggesting is riding off what a lot of PvE players are asking for, a survival mode, but with a slight twist. The lore you guys put into the game in the Grimoire has left the opportunity for some pretty interesting ideas and what I'm suggesting is that we make use of two character's lore specifically; Zavala and Shaxx. You've given us the story behind the establishment of the Crucible being a result of the Battle of Twilight Gap and you've made Zavala commander of the city's defenses so why not use that? Have two randomly spawning mission modes or even daily events where either we are contacted by Lord Shaxx or Zavala to either defend the city (Zavala) or make a decisive counterattack against two opposing enemies while they're fighting over territory and wipe them both out (Shaxx). Make the battles huge with various enemies, maybe intensifying in difficulty wave per wave like when defending the WARSAT, make these so insane that we'll have to rely on eachother to drop into these events. I think this would be an interesting event not only to play but to make some greater connection to all the lore in the game too.

I would go one further. We know they can do 6 man teams. Give us a 6 player patrol survival mode. You're in an area and you have waves of enemies come at you. You have to defend a point, or assault a really hard area. Only good coordination will make it though. For example a part where you need snipers to keep the enemy off you and close range characters to fight capture a point.

Also I'd like to see the rest of a Vanguard make some sort of effort to be in the story line, because as it stands Ikora and Cayde-6 just stand around and really do nothing even though their characters seem interesting enough.
