Hi guys,
I'm having a recurring issue that is really hampering my Destiny playing on the Xbox One.
I always appear offline in my friend's Destiny friends list, even when we are both online playing Destiny together.
He appears as online in my friends list, so I can invite him into my fireteam. But because I appear offline in HIS friends list, he can't invite me to his fireteam.
It's crap because he always joins me to help me out, but I can't join him if he is part way through something because he can't invite me. It makes completing the Nightfall each week especially tricky.
We both have open NATs in our Xbox One settings. I appear as online in his Xbox friends list but offline in his Destiny friends list.
I've tried looking at my Xbox privacy settings and they all appear open and public (including visibility when online).
Does anyone have any ideas what we can do to try and fix the issue?
My Gamertag is Morkysouth and his is Crackmadfats.
Thanks guys.

I have the same exact problem on the PS4. My son plays on our PS3 and he always sees me as offline. I play on our PS4 and I see him as online, and try to invite him to my fireteam, but since I'm shown as offline, he can't respond, nor join. I went through my privacy settings on my PSN account and it's wide open.

It might be a privacy setting because i know you can choose "appear offline"

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem. It's making it difficult for friends to invite me to games.
