S'up Destiny Community,
To keep it short and sweet this is a quick feedback post, bullet pointing some things me and some friends
have compiled through countless hours of playing Destiny (and we played A LOT). These are hopefully all non-bias
and you will hopefully agree or give constructive criticism / adaptations on what I have to say.
MUCH FEEDBACK
PVP
- Golden Gun
- Shouldn't have an extra shield but should instead maybe regen your health
- Shouldn't have an auto-aim function
- With the removal of auto-aim, an extra bullet should be added
- Arc Blade
- Reduced melee blink distance (jumping around 20ft, 5 times in under a second seems more like magic than an ability)
- Shield Removed like the previous golden gun ability but also the same, they regen health
- Suros Regime
- Just sort this out please. You know exactly what I mean. (impact, damage, mag)
Sunsinger
- Radiance
-- Extremely underwhelming as a special, + Super Saiyan Mode, - No initial damage boosting ability, grenades are *poop sound*, I feel the grenades should act like golden gun and you should get 3 you throw and do increased initial damage
-- Fireborn is beyond foolish in PvP and thats being said as a Warlock who thinks this is outright unfair. At least in PvP.
Voidwalker
- Grenades (see grenades further on)
- Nova Bomb
-- I love this ability as it is extremely fun but....
-- As it makes you float it quite often makes me float into objects to which your ability hits before it reaches your intended target. I'd love to see a better aiming system for this to be more beneficial
-- Shatter is an awesome ability in PvE and PvP but I feel like when it does hit it does hit too hard. I'd like to see damage reduced initially and replaced with a Area of Effect DOT (like Aftermath Titan ability)
Striker
- Fist of Havoc
-- This has one of the worst aiming systems for the specials. The amount of times I've cocked up aiming this thing.
-- The Initial area of where you get damaged / hit when this ability is WAY too large. I got hit 30 meters above a titan way out of the way and it killed me while I had full shield / armor / health
So I just came First! Nice! Gz!
- Why did the person who came last get a Legendary engram, a weapon and a strange coin?
- Why Did I get nothing when I got 12.5 K/D, 6200 Points, and he got 0.4 and 1200?
Overall Feedback on Classes
Hunter
- Fun
- Abilities and look fills the idea of the class you are playing
- Specials are fun but need fine tuning to make fair in PvP
Titan
- Looks Awesome
- Abilities match the idea of the class
- Abilities are extremely underwhelming in PvE conditions, especially with specials being melee based and VoG Mobs being able to nearly one hit you
- As a Titan you are meant to feel strong and impenetrable. In Destiny, Titans are extremely squishy. Especially in PvE.
- When I think Titan, I think Tank, I think Crowd Control abilities, I think Survivability. It has NONE of these making it a pure utility player on our fireteam, and they don't exactly have many utility abilities in the first place
- Melee hit range is way too small in comparison to other classes
Warlock
- Enjoyable
- Voidwalker is good in PvE and PvP and specials match what I expected but specials need their aiming fine tuned
- Sunslinger as a basic class is fun but Radiance is boring and offers no real benefit other than throwing lots of grenades which in both PvE and PvP situations where you may need a burst of high damage or sustained damage feels underwhelming (word of the day)
Gameplay and Story plez
Combat design and enemy interaction is extremely fun and well made
Scenery and game locations are beautiful and meld well with combat
Story. There is very little and I feel like it hasn't been explored enough to really entice me into continually do story missions and read grimoires
NPC's to which Players interact with a lot have no back story to coincide with those who wish to really explore the universe of Destiny
Bounties are dull and....
- Need to have more added to keep it flavorsome
- Need to be tuned as some are just too boring and time consuming (20 double fusion rifle kills, 10 guardians on vehicle kills as examples)
Completing missions on Heroic or harder should reap some rewards and those who did more and contributed should be rewarded for their contributions
Weapwnz and Armor
Some weapons need buffing to make them viable in PvE and PvP, those include
- Hand Cannons
- Pulse Rifles
- Scout Rifles
Shotguns need more range otherwise they are almost just another melee weapon in my eyes
Rocket Launchers have a small chance to crit on bosses / elite mobs (on bosses they're just boring and I save them for mobs)
Some Armor and their benefits are totally useless
- *example* Extra Pulse Rifle Ammo on this chest item? I use Auto Rifles and Shotguns. Maybe include the ability to buy changes to your items from the cryptarch
Armor and Weapons, Legendary and Above cost way too much to upgrade at high level. 16 of one material and 8 Ascendant items seems a bit much for ONE upgrade, even 16 weapon parts seems overkill
Legendary Engrams and above should ONLY make items specific to the class who hands them in
What I and others would like to see in the Future
Crafting
- Make weapons and armor for your Alts and Mains
Another Form of item rarity above Exotic as Exotics don't feel "exotic" when nearly everyone has at least one
- "Mythic" Rarity which is colored Orange / Red'ish (blood orange) and is obtained through Nightfall / Raids on harder difficulties and should be seen as the hardest of the hard to get
A more immersive story line in which players can interactively play in, instead of having to visit the app or go online to delve into. I play a game for its Story, not to play it and then read about it
Other
You spent 4 hours Today (7th October) fixing Network issues and when you bought them back online I had the worst day of connection issues ever..... Fix dat plez
Trading
- *example* I just receieved a great Titan Helm on my Warlock and my friend who was with me at the time receiving this item in PvE/PvP could really use it.
If someone was there when I received it and contributed, shouldn't they be able to receive it also?
Reputation, why do I need to visit a vendor to see what my rep is with them, why can't i just check when I'm out and about?
25000 Glimmer is too little, raise it for those who don't use it but may need it later on in life
200 VG and Crucible Cap. Too little again. I Will probably be capped at 200 for another week.
If you have any more feedback to add please feel free to reply and if I find it justified I'll add it to the list!
Cheers,
TL/DR: I Love the game but It has some creases needing to be ironed out and I wrote a list of some of those creases
Thanks Bungie,
AJB
