Share your Engram experiences?
So, I'm curious how others fare when it comes to Engram drops. Be it I'm unlucky, or the rng hates me, I find that I am on the low end of receiving them. I play a lot, I play a variety of game modes, and I grind my ass off. Those engrams just don't drop like I wish they would. Blues? Eh. Purples? Forget about it. Please don't assume that I don't understand the way the loot system works, leveling the cryptarch, or the methods in which to obtain them. I really do. Just find myself not too lucky in regards to obtaining them and would like to hear your experiences with them.

Pure shit. They fixed the drop ranking of the engrams but I have not gotten a single purple since the patch, I was getting to or three and day before but they were all blue lol but either way they were supposed to improve the chance slightly but now I don't get a -blam!-ing thing

Before the patch I would run into a few blues a strike. Maybe 2-3 legendaries a week. After the patch I have yet to see a legendary drop, but have received nearly twice as many green and blue drops. RNG can SmD.

1 ReplyI mostly get greens, and every once in a while blues. I have never seen a purple engram drop, but after levelling the Cryptarch to 3 I got a package with three blue engrams, one of them containing a legendary machine gun :)

I have only gotten two exotics from engrams. This was before the patch. Was for a warlock so was dissapointing considering that i am a hunter. The engram system it ehhh definately not one of my favorite loot system from a video game. My experiance with them have been dull and boring. Nothing about it makes me even slightly excited about getting an engram. Its bassicaly far to random. A random enemy will randomly drop a random engram of a random color from green to purple, then you have to take it to the cryptarch for another random system that will randomly either give you something of that color or another color... i personally do not like gambleling.
