My rating just went up from 7 to 8/10

TL;DR Raids will save this game. People just want to see this game improve. It needs some work. Vault of Glass really changed my outlook on this game. I was pretty grouchy because I thought this would be a "perfect marriage" of a scifi RPG and a FPS. But you kind of have to think outside the box with Destiny and stop comparing it to other RPGs.
I carried the relic when no one else was willing to.
That was when I really felt a rush holding 5 people on my back by putting down my gun and solving the puzzle correctly for everyone (even though a friend had to tell us all what to do.) All of a sudden this game turned from a pile of negativity and resentment from not enjoying the lack of content when "lone wolfing" it getting vanguard rank and grinding... into a game that actually connects people on a level that other shooters don't really seem to reach. Raids. Raids are going to save this game from all the critical reception. I would also like to see Patrol a lot more fleshed out to keep the lone wolves happy. You need to realize people who give this game less-than-perfect reviews just want to see it GET BETTER and might not be willing to admit it, but they like it. If they didn't like it they wouldn't have bought it. However, about this only being an 8/10 game. There needs to be better social functions like team chat or even Tower chat. It took me a long time to find a good raid team. Way too long, and it gets frustrating. Inexperienced players who liked to run off and get seen by the Seekers and instantly get our whole team killed, and who couldn't even jump from platform to platform to make it out of that area... it was awful. Come on, Bungie! We shouldn't have to scour the internet and spend an hour adding people on PSN just to get a Raid started! Let's make this game even better than it already is. The world seems small, especially compared to other games. If there's a way we could expand this world so that instead of just looking over the horizon at objects in the distance that look so detailed and realistic, we could actually GO there. Even if Bungie could just open this world up a LITTLE BIT it would go a long way toward improving this game. Low level enemies that we're forced to kill over and over again really gets boring, fast. Give Patrol the option to go up to level 28 or something. What good does it do a level 10 guy to see a level 30 running past him, ignoring him completely? Put the low level guys in the same environment and put the high level guys in a new environment that feels like it's constantly changing, not just the same old Cosmodrome, etc. If you're not going to add more strikes to Vanguard Tiger, give us the option to increase that difficulty as well. Again these are just small things that would improve the quality of the game by a lot. The reward and loot system needs... a lot of work. It needs to actually reward people for achieving things not just be based on randomness. Getting exotic gear so early on in the game also makes us wonder, are we going to find even better gear in the future? Or is this the best it's gonna get? If I buy the DLC, is it just going to bring me up to level 40 and end abruptly again? We need a lot more progression and to feel like we actually earned our gear instead of getting lucky. Raid gear is an excellent idea, however I'm not too psyched about the random nature of raid gear drops in VoG. What happens if I beat it 10 times and don't get a single armor piece? Am I going to be happy?
