I understand that most people want all of these things. But what is the most important to you? What, if it was patched in today, make you say "ok, I'll keep quiet and give this game a chance" the most?
I understand there's a lot of divisive and angry opinions about this game, but we also have one thing in common:
We all, at one point, really wanted to like this game.
So what's going to keep you playing until the new year?
-
Almost a day later and story is still far and above the highest wanted aspect.
-
None of the above. The only thing that will keep me playing is to have matchmaking (with chat) in all content so that i can play and enjoy endgame material. New dlc looks to have even more stuff that one can buy but cannot play unless one has a bunch of friends.
-
there is so little in game content. its sad bungie gave us 20% of a full game on day 1. knowing what i know now i would never have bought destiny. lies got ppls money, bungie lied so massively about destiny.
-
Where's the "all of the above" option?
-
I voted for story missions but I want to clarify that. I want more variety in the missions too. Not just go here and scan this while fighting off three waves. A very close second would be randomized strikes similar to how left for dead did things.
-
Ship combat. Fleets versus fleets. If anyone's played war thunder I want something like that in destiny with laZers, beam cannons, burritos, missiles, and tears.
-
i put "more missions" but a better way to put it is making an effort in level and story design. i remember in halo 3 fighting those giant spider tanks by ditching out of my pelican from above, storming on board and taking out everyone inside, and then destroying the core and jumping off. I remember driving my warthog like a crazy person as the ground buckled and exploded beneath me, with my buddy as a gunner blasting away at baddies. I remember making a fighting retreat against the entire covenant army in halo reach, as my comrades fall or sacrifice themselves one by one. Destiny has nothing like that. fly your sparrow somewhere. hold x and fight off waves of enemies as dinklebot does something. spend 10 minutes shooting a bulletsponge boss in the face in between clearing mobs. rinse and repeat forever.

Edited by Godin: 10/7/2014 1:27:48 AMI'd that that more missions/in game lore (and a better explanation of said lore), Larger areas, better randomized events period (not jsut in strikes), and better loot/better leveling system would all help to keep me here. I'd also say that more vehicle things (like to be able to shoot something from my sparrow and fly my currently useless ship) would be nice. EDIT: I'd also like better boss fights.

I was not expecting to see that big a bar on Story. Used to seeing mostly people complaining about stuff in PVP, I guess. I've long since accepted that my love of story kinda makes me a weirdo. Nice to see I'm not alone in hoping for more content here.
-
Seems pretty unanimous to me...
-
Well...seeing that I have no intention to quit playing. Then I would like to see all of the choices added to the game eventually.
-
Fix the bleepin story, Bungie.
-
MAYBE IF THE GAME WOULD GIVE ME ANYTHING?! Seriously legendary engrams might as well be uncommon engrams for me. Everything I use is either DLC or bought.
-
A way to LFG in the game?
-
everything that's listed

I expected a few more on strike variation, but it looks like this us about standard for what's being said all over the forums.
