So, as the Queen's Event wraps up, most of us have taken part in one way or another in the events. Here's some of my thoughts on the event. [u]The Good [/u] 1. Fresh Content For a time, I enjoyed doing the bounties, to level up with the faction and receive the emblem. That gave me a feeling of accomplishment. Level 1 emblem is easy enough to get. The level 3 emblem is more challenging, and thus I'm striving to get it. Sometime in the future as I sport that fancy emblem, maybe other players will be like, "man, that guy did all that work to get they emblem. That's pretty cool." I hope that when we see this event again in the future, more emblems and shaders(cooler colors that I will actually wear) will be available at higher levels. 2. Legendaries I liked how I could get legendaries, and that greatly helped me to get to my current level 27. With different shaders, it's cool to see the Queen's insignia on my cloak thingy. 3. Bounties With this event, it gave you an additional 6 bounties to do each day. That gave me a little extra to do each day, and led me to explore more places. [u]The Bad[/u] 1. Too much purple Purple shaders are not my first choice. Maybe a touch of purple would be fine. The Queen's emblem isn't so bad. 2. Bounties A. First off, I'm sure that we'll see this event again, seeing as how some of the bounties require you to be level 3 with the Queen's faction. But for the first run of this event, they definitely should've been left out. B. A greater variety of bounties should be offered. Not once did I want to complete the bounties for crucible head shots with scout rifle and hand canon. Also, the Stalker bounty needs fixing-too often a kill didn't grant everyone progress in the bounty. 3. Queen's Missions A. This is probably the largest area that needs rework. It's great the legendary helmet and chest piece you can score from here, but after you've run the missions to finally get these, then the missions become more than useless. Same legendaries drop, and if you scrap them, you get garbage. At first, you got ascendant shards, but that's too much - people would be drowning in shards if that were the case. Some better rewards should be offered. I've heard mention that people have received a sniper or ship from missions (which I guess would have the emblem slapped in them), but I have not seen these drop, nor have I seen people post images online. So now, I have 10 Queen's missions in my inventory and no desire to use them. B. Some of these missions are intensely difficult, because of the added modifiers. But, those are easily avoided when you just fly back out to orbit until you get the very first mission that you can finish in about two minutes. Fix that, increase good loot you can get, keep the difficulty level, and I'd be fine with that. 4. Items for Purchase As you level up with the faction, more items will be unlocked, and at first, you think that's great. But, from what I understand, there are no legendaries for sale, only measly blues. I guess you'll get special Queen's skins on the weapons and armor, but where I'm at, this gear is no better than what I already have. To end, I hope they Bungie learned something from this event, and will make some changes for this event in the future, and for their other planned events. Starting this week is the Iron Banner event, which I've heard was in the beta. It would be good to see some added polish on this upcoming event.
