Some of us ARE the weaker players

I know I'm generally the weak link in a team. I'm probably the reason there's no matchmaking in vault of glass. I'm not a pro grade competitor raised on halo death matches, and using a controller makes it much worse. Playing more than a few rounds of crucible is heartbreaking, reliably at the bottom of the list, and no visible league for losers. I was elated when I got an exotic weapons bounty, these are the kinds of things that let me translate extra hours of gameplay into a slight improvement in performance. Then I discovered I need a kill/death spread of 25 in the crucible to claim it. Devastating. Of course I looked it up and saw everybody else can do it in a couple games, but for me that goal will likely never come. Whee. I'm considering throwing it out to make room for a bounty that time and perseverance might win. But it's a hard admission of defeat, and a lot to surrender, I want to claim these prizes as much as the skilled players. I paid full price for this game too, and I'd have bought the version with the model ghost if my wife had let me spend the money. It's great to compete, and it's great to find the winners, and tell them how great they are, and hire them to win for you, even, but please don't forget about your terrible players, we do play too, as best we can. Reliable losing is a major downer. Ps. Thank you for not making the crucible rewards win based. That is very generous. I know that the guys who have just demonstrated that they can kill me ten times with a toothpick want an even better gun to do it with, it's nice to get something on the bottom, I'm glad you did that that way. EDIT: I accidentally wrote kill/death ratio, when I meant spread, this has been corrected.

  • First, play control, but don't sit in a flag, sit outside it, behind it, In front of it, and catch people unawares... Camp the heck outta a few matches. Also, like another poster says, use the buddy system, you're MUCH less likely to die if you're double teaming the opponent. I usually go positive, but the thorn mission (with void damage) took me 2 weeks! You'll get it, have some faith!
