Your thoughts on existence

Does it ever just kill you to not know how and why we exist? If God does exist (not saying he doesn't either) we would know how we were made, but what about him? Basically in my head it all just boils down to how everything was started. Yeah yeah Big Bang theory, but how. How are we alive how are we and everything else that makes us here? How can you have something from nothing? There is a never ending chain is there not? And what about a higher dimension that we cannot see? Like Carl Sagan talked about in the cosmos. Maybe we just don't know and can't comprehend because we're stuck in the 3rd dimension. Geez these thoughts just make me so curious and are so agonizing. What do you guys think?

  • How can we be real if our eyes aren't real?

  • There is no answer. If we came from nothing then we are nothing as in we ourselves aren't real.

Well Carl Sagan, as amazing of a man as he is, has been dead alittle while now and I recommend you check out other scientists. My personal favorite is Neil DeGrasse Tyson, but he informs people in such a matter that anyone can understand, but the topics he talks about would clearly be easier to talk about if speaking at a doctorate level of understanding. Anyways, we do not live in 3 dimensions, we live in 3 spacial dimensions and one time dimension, I don't know if you've even heard of a weird guy named Albert Einstein, but he's the one that put this knowledge in motion. My personal outlook on life is that everything is perceived and nothing is real. Everything that we think is fact, could be wrong. The standard model of physics, could be wrong, something that is most notably being changed by quantum theory. Every single fact of history could be wrong, if you've never read the book 1984, I suggest you do. But the purpose of life at the very heart of the question itself is to learn. It's to evolve, in a cliché way, to better ones self. Even if what we think we know is false. A great scientist once said something along the lines of that given enough time in a closed system, anything is possible. As far as we understand, our universe is a closed system, it has to be to be defined as a universe. So 13 billion years makes life. Great, now let's keep learning and see what happens in the next couple billion before the earth cools down and the sun explodes. When looking into the philosophy of science you need to think big. And religion is just too small of thinking to be noticed on my view of things.

    • I think there are some things we aren't meant to know in this life. We can't comprehend how these things work, so it's best to just have faith in what we have, and better ourselves for the greater good.

      • I think the flood can't handle philosophy, so there's no point in asking. serious business beyond this point.
as for God's beginning my idea on the subject actually came from my own, a story of sorts, the raw energy of creation forms an infant mind so powerful that it brings itself into existence. that might be a bit hard to wrap your head around but if you can it'll help I guess
