Any way to adjust HUD opacity to prevent plasma burn-in?

Destiny looks gorgeous on my plasma TV, but the static HUD components in the lower-left of the screen are full opacity and have started to cause a bit of image retention/burn-in on my TV. I know from past experience that it will eventually go away once I stop playing the game as much, but it could be easily fixed by allowing players to turn down the opacity on static HUD elements. Is there any way to do this? If not, can this post count as a feature request?

  • As far as I know, there is no option to adjust HUD opacity, though you can reduce the overall brightness in your settings menu. However, on any plasma TV manufactured in the last decade, plasma burn-in can be fixed by simply changing the channel to a white noise/static channel for a few seconds. Hope this helps!
