Christmas has turned into such a big deal i dont care. Also, dont hate. The whole point of christianity is to love each other.

Edited by Tuxx: 2/15/2015 9:35:00 AMChristmas is more of a cultural holiday than anything. They even celebrate it in Japan which has a very small minority of Christians. Your argument is invalid. You greedy christian, you. Can't you just share the joy and good will?
-
They celebrate X-mas or the winter solstice in my experience >_>
-
Whats chirstmas I celebrate xmas
-
(Sees antichrist in title) (Immediately likes)
-
Seeing as how Christmas has almost entirely become a capitalist holiday, your opinion is invalid.

Christmas is a tradition. I fail to see how bringing a tree inside and waiting for a fat guy with flying reindeer to magically put gifts under it involves religion. Christians just adopted many pagan traditions back when they were out conquering back in the day.
-
I celebrate Christmas for the my own reasons, I view both Thanksgiving and Christmas like this... Thanksgiving is the time to give thanks. Chrismas is the time to give back.
-
hahaha lol Jesus
-
I'm pagan and celebrate Christmas. No -blam!-s are given
-
Don't have to be a Christian to celebrate Xmas. You appreciate the value of the day, a day to be with family and friends. There's no reason why anybody, irregardless of their religion shouldn't do that.
-
I see Christmas as an opportunity to showcase one's selflessness... My father would give us twenty dollars to spend on gifts for each other, and whatever we had left over we could keep for ourselves... and after the first year we realized we didn't want to be the a**h*le who only spent a couple of dollars on our siblings. However it's one thing to be charitable when someone you know is on the receiving end versus a complete stranger you'll never see again. However, the best feeling in the world is getting something from a complete stranger.

There is a difference of how people celebrate Christmas, some people celebrate it as a religious holiday, others as just a good time to be with friends and family, I can see where you are coming from but they probably wont celebrate it as a religious holiday...
-
Christmas originated in Germany as a mid-winter festival. It later came to America joined by British tree decorating and gift giving. It later was adopted by Christians and celebrated. It has absolutely nothing to do with god or Jesus. Learn the facts before you think religion is a reliable source of info.

Edited by Chilly: 11/7/2014 2:17:01 PMOh, the fools in this thread. Woe is the mother who birthed them, and shamed is the father from who's loins they are drawn! History distorted to fit views not their own...yea, tis a sad tale told by a roaring mob! Yet there stands the pillar, set up by dead hands! A testament that has stood the test of time! Who sees men born and sees men die! Evergreen trees and everlasting life thrown away by angry children too young to see their meaning. Woe unto this world, ye angry mob.

Well maybe if you said this 100 years ago it would be true but Christmas is so commercialized that it doesn't have anything to do with religion anymore.
