Seriously?
I just finished the Raid and got ascendent shards and ascendent energy.
(I think anyways) it never said anything/:
But either way, rather it didn't give me anything, or it gave me shards and energy. I did all that for just shards and energy??
2 days of failing over and over again, for a couple ascendent materials? That was bogus. I don't even know if I want to put that time in again knowing there's a chance I'm just going to get some materials..
Especially when I can get them twice as fast from public events around the planets/:

This is what "Master" (a Bungie employee) has to say on the matter... "There still seems to be some confusion, so let me restate this clearly: Defeating Atheon gives you a chance to get Raid-specific Legendary items, but there are no guaranteed items that are awarded. You may get completely different items than your party members. The rewards for killing Atheon and completing the Raid are awarded when he dies. For this, you will receive rewards from Atheon's Loot table or at the very least, Ascendant Materials. There is no post-game screen that shows all the gear and loot that were earned in the Raid." In other words Bungie doesn't give a s*** about you and how much time you just wasted for nothing. They're kind of assholes about the whole ordeal really :|

6 RepliesYou don't always get loot. If you finish the raid you are not guaranteed loot. Just like in any mmo with a raid component, you don't always get it there either.
