I Don't Believe Pulse Rifles are Very Balanced.

I got the exotic "Bad Juju" today and found out that the poor thing only does 24 critical damage per bullet. That seems great in theory with potential for 72 damage per burst, but more bullets equals less stability, and less accuracy, so I've never been able to kill someone in less than four bursts. I can kill someone in three bullets with a hand cannon in half that time. Main point: why would I ever use "Bad Juju" when I could use "Suros Regime," or any explosive hand cannon. Give me a reason to use pulse rifles Bungie.

  • I've maxed out bad juju and it's rotting in the vault. Bungie said that they're time will come (thorn and juju) so I guess we will see

    • Right now Red Death > Bad Juju. Bungie stated they are buffing Juju and Thorn. I feel that basically they should rebalance weapons so all three are useful: [quote]Assault Rifles •Make it so at least in PvP it takes at least 9-12 hits on the head to down any opponent. •PvE/IB: Make it so all Assault Rifles actually have Auto stats dependent on their level and rarity. I have seen Rare Autos with really good stats. Changes to Auto: -High Rate of Fire. They should have the highest Rate of Fire then any other weapon. -Low Impact. Must be the lowest of all weapons. I have seen rifles with Impact as high as Scout Rifles. -Low Range. These weapons should be highly inaccurate at longer distances. They should have ranges that are higher than shotguns but lower than any other Rifle. -Low Stability. These weapons should have the most recoil. Unless they have Perfect Balance or such upgrades I have seen Autos with Stability that should be the realm of the other rifles. -Medium Reload speeds. This compensates for their fast Rate of Fire and bigger magazines. -High Magazines. All autos should have high magazine counts. Pulse Rifles •Make it so at least in PvP it takes at least 3-4 hits on the head to down and opponent. •PvE/IB: Make it so all Pulse Rifles actually have Pulse stats. They should be the in between Autos and Scouts and still be good to stand on their own as an alternative. -Medium Rate of Fire. Their Rate of Fire should be about 25% lower than Autos always. -Medium Impact. Their Impact should be about 25% higher than any Auto. -Medium Range. They should have 50% more range than any Auto. -Medium Stability. They should have 50% more stability than any Auto. -High Reload Speeds. They should have higher reload speeds to compensate for their smaller magazines. -Low magazines. They should be allowed up to 18-27 rounds per clip. Enough for 6-9 bursts. Scout Rifles •Make it so at least in PvP it takes at least 3-4 bursts on the head to down and opponent. •PvE/IB: Make it so all Pulse Rifles actually have Scout stats. They should be the superior choice for lethality, range, precision and accuracy. But sacrificing clip sizes, rate of fire and reload speeds. -Low Rate of Fire. Their Rate of Fire should be about 25% lower than any Pulse. -High Impact. Their Impact should be about 25% higher than any Pulse. -High Range. They should have 25% more range than any Pulse. -High Stability. They should have 25% more stability than any Pulse. -Medium Reload Speeds. They should have medium reload speeds to compensate for their smaller magazines but the lethality of each bullet. -Low magazines. They should have about 25% less magazines than Pulse Rifles. A Scout should have enough for 13-20 shots at most. Note: This makes all of them balanced to the same amount of hits. Notice that 9-12 shots with the auto is comparable to 3-4 bullets on the head by scout or 3-4 bursts (9-12 shots in) to the head. Also before you cry bloody murder I -use- Autos. I -know- they are too good. I am guilty of using them and they should have lower stats than they have right now. [/quote]
