So Destiny is hella fun, and I really enjoy it. After Halo I was unsure as to what to expect with this and the end result is great. I do have a few concerns with the game. I'm currently level 27 Hunter which has been no small feat and I appreciate the amount of time I've had to put into this game to get here. However there are certain things that I feel could make the experience a little better to kind of speed things along or at least make the game feel less like doing the same thing over and over. First and foremost cutscenes, I've seen them all, I could probably quote them at this point. I don't want to see the story that I've already seen. As pretty as they are there should really be a skip feature on ones that were already seen. Several of the bounties that happen daily are impossible to do at certain times and they tend to take up space, specifically in the Crucible. Several times there have been bounties for the Salvage game mode and no way to play it. This takes up space and could be better suited by having some other bounty there. The weapons in this game are great and I honestly don't have any real complaint with this aside from a few minor tweaks here and there I feel that a lot of them are balanced. However I would like more weapon types, possibly some sort of melee weapon. The Sword of Crota mission was amazing the first time that I had completed it because of the ability to use the sword was great because it was new and as a Hunter it helped teach me how to use the Arc Blade. I think the game would benefit from that a lot. Exotics, I love how hard they are to get it makes it so much more worth it when I finally get one (I currently have 2 working on a third) However they have the same power as Legendary weapons aside from having more abilities and that is kind of confusing, as an avid MMORPG player I usually associate the power level as an indicator to how good a weapon is and 300 is an odd cap in my opinion. However I completely understand only equipping one each and I look forward to seeing how the level cap gets worked around that as the game continues. Finally character customization is something that I'm most excited about. I really enjoy it and I think that it is a great start but I feel it could go so much further. For example adding a hair stylist or something to be able to change your character later in game. It sounds silly but it would be pretty cool to unlock new hair colors and styles among other things. It would even be interesting to be able to unlock new tattoos and other cosmetic things or even create your own emblem.
