Greetings Guardian's, I've seen many posts on the forums with people wondering how to pass the max level cap or some people are stuck at a certain level. I'm here today to help you, these are some very easy and simple steps in order to help your Guardian progress through his levels. First off you need to obtain armour pieces that have a "[b]Light[/b]" stat in them. You may only obtain these armour pieces when you reach the max level cap of 20. Once you obtain these armour pieces you may equip them and then a yellow EXP bar will be shown under your name showing you the amount of light you have on. [i][b](Do not think that the materials called "Mote of Light" is something you can upgrade your equipment with because you would be wrong.)[/b][/i] Some of the ways you can obtain these armour pieces is by doing some Strikes, Vanguard Strikes, Farming, Story Quests and even PvP. I personally find PvP the best option as that is how I obtain all of my gear. You can obtain random engrams, weapons and armour from the Crucible however you get points called "[b]Crucible Marks[/b]" which when you hit rank 2 of "[b]Crucible Reputation[/b]" [i][b](Or any other reputations such as the Dark Orbit or Future War Cult)[/b][/i] you may purchase "[b]Legendary Armour[/b]" from your Crucible armour seller or any other faction you may be in. This will help you obtain some of the best gear you are ever going to get in this stage of Destiny. Once you have all the gear you want, you NEED to focus on upgrading the defence. However, it doesn't only upgrade the defence, but it also upgrades the stats on it as well... Such as your [b]Light[/b], therefore increasing your level further. Once you have increased all your armour, I would recommenced attempting the VoG Raid (Vault of Glass) on Venus to see if you are to be able to obtain anything better. Also do some of the weekly and daily Heroic strikes as you get a material called "[b]Strange Coin[/b]" once you have enough of these materials you can go to someone called "[b]Xur, Agent of the Nine[/b]" who randomly comes to the Tower every week who will sell you "[i][b]Exotic Gear[/b][/i]" which is by far the best gear you can obtain in the game so far. Once you upgrade that gear to as much as it can go you as basically the max level of Light you can go.
