Cave farmers just look....so sad.
I can't tell you how many times in the past couple of days I've walked by the cave and have seen 5 or 6 players standing in line like a firing squad waiting and farming for loot.
Sad thing is, with all the complaining about lack off content and things to do, some of you are WILLINGLY reducing the game to this....what I can only imagine is....a mind numbing, boring ass experience. You paid 60 dollars for the game, and essentially chose to turn it into a carnival game..
I've happened upon 4 exotics, two from engrams, one purchased, and one a lucky roll in the crucible. And as I fly by on my sparrow, collecting vanguard rep, cruising for spinmetal, or participating in a strike, I can't help but feel sorry for the people who willingly put so much merit into the loot they store in this GAME, that they willingly destroy their experience with it.
If you don't have the loot for the raid, you're not ready. If you don't have the patience for the loot, then this game is most likely not for you. And if you farm, then complain about how "boring" the game is, then you are your own worst self entitled enemy.

1 ReplyI think there a few different kinds of people and you are grouping a few types of gamers into one group. Some people actually enjoy farming in an RNG based game. Maybe they want a different stat, or a wide variety of damage types on one type of gun. Just because it's not the way you play, shouldn't make you put down others for the way they want to play.

1 ReplyI admit, i farm the cave. Whats so bad about that that people feel the need to criticise others for doing it. And i usually go there. Set my character spinning in circles and let others farm while i play PC and then grab the loot every so often ~ All hail the sacred cave ~

Can't say I don't love the sound of 4-6 scout rifles being fired at the same time.

2 RepliesI guarantee they are not sad, but happily waiting anxiously for the next blue/purple drop. People are doing this now cuz they know Bungie may patch it in the future. Once this spot is gone, someone else will find another spot and post it on reddit/youtube. Neverending cycle my friend. Thats MMOs for ya and I love it.

What sounds better OP spending half an hour doing a strike and maybe getting a Rare armor/weapon as a reward with the maybe 1 blue engram you get along the way. Or farming for the same amount of time and getting 1-3 blues every 10 minutes and getting 1-3 Legendary every hour and not having to struggle playing the same boring strikes fighting the same boring damage sponge bosses that are tedious to kill not hard. I choose the ladder most of the time, but I only farm for about 30 minutes to an hour at a time and only maybe once a day if that.

3 RepliesThere are better ways to farm. The cave actually seems slow to me. Hell you can get multiple legendaries out of small chests haha ad chest routes at least can be fun it's like a scavenger hunt

2 Repliesyou have been lucky and blessed sir, i have 147 hours in the game currently and the only exotic gear i have is from xur. i cant tell you how many times i have found a legendary engram only to have the crypt arch rip it from my hands and in return give me a rare, i turn in all 5 bounties and nothing, if you have been that lucky then you haven't been in everyone else's position so you cant complain.

No disrespect towards the guys that are farming. But every time I see a post about farming in 'the cave' I can't help but think of the farmers as golum from lotr and the engrams as their missing precious, and it just makes me busy out laughing.

Why would I waste 30-40 mins of my time getting bum ass rare's when I could sit at the cave, get 10x more engrams, decrypt them and get a higher chance of getting legendaries via legendary packages. I've done idk how many strikes, did it with so many ppl and yet no one has ever gotten a legendary out of it nor an exotic. If you have congrats. You're part of the 1%. But we all have our own ways of getting stuff.

Well I am lvl 26 light have completed everything and now Im just working on getting better gear and more experience for my faction now until I get to lvl 27. Sometimes its nice not to have to run around to complete a mission, sometimes I like just sitting there shooting for a half hour or 2 to get a few good things. If your up set about people wanting to play the game how they want to play it then maybe your playing the wrong game. I really dont see how this is such a big deal. Are people that upset that some people sit for hours on end to have a chance at getting good gear rather then playing in the crucible or doing the same strikes over and over again ?
