191 hrs of game time with a lvl 33 cryptarch, Still not a single exotic to be seen!
Hey all,
The title is self explanitory, Have been playing destiny non stop since the release with minimal sleep. I enjoy the game beyond comprehension and am more than happy with it. I honestly don't remember the last time I stumbled upon a video game so addictive.
However there is one very dissapointing thing, Still not one exotic decrypted from legendary engrams when everyone and anyone around me seems to be finding them or at least found some before they've reached my level. Either I'm extremely unlucky or there's something wrong with the rng whenever I go to decrypt something legendary.
Now in all honesty I'm going to be extremely blunt here by saying I definitely feel like I'm being cheated by bungie. I've had to resort to farming purely for the reason of attempting to source my own legendary engrams to hopefully decrypt into something exotic with still no luck.
Someone please tell me you're in the same position as me...
I have no spirit left to play the game all I need is that little spark of hope and by saying this I mean a damn exotic already.
Red death, hard light, or suros regime would be fantastic right about now.
I for one am not the person to make topics or posts like these on the forums but I just needed to share my awful luck to see how many are in the same boat. If for any chance something is wrong can a bungie employee please rectify the situation.
I feel as though I deserve one by now.

I've only racked up just over 2 days and in the process of collecting my 5th exotic after I finish the bounty.

4 RepliesLegendary Engrams only have a 1.82% chance of an Exotic drop. It's highly unlikely you'll get any from them. Save up your Strange Coins or completing the weekly Nightfall Strike are the best ways. My friend got Ice Breaker last night when we killed Photograph the Unframed in the Night Strike last night.

Ive decoded about 15 legendary engrams. I got 1 legendary helmet and 1 exotic armor not for my class that has nothing special about it. Its that titan one. I think we all feel cheated

2 RepliesInstead of farming go do all the bounties everyday and try to get an exotic weapon bounty. That will also give you a sense of direction and an objective again.

Can Get 23 coins easy i got lucky raspberry this way Can do nightfall for one with a high chance i got suros regime and hardlight this way Can play crucible for one i got gjallahorn this way Can do bounties for exotic weapon bounties i got invective this way Basically ur doing it all wrong.

Stop farming and play the raid or nightfall already Jeez! I have 4 exotic weapons and 2 exotic armor, haven't farmed once, legendary engrams are a waste of time bro. Rank up your factions and you can buy legendary much faster than you will get them from those stupid engrams. Also, are you not aware that you can buy exotics from xur, agent of the nines, on the weekend? I bought three of my exotics from him with strange coins and motes of light. My suggestion, stop wasting your time on farming, if your criptarch is lvl 30 something you have obviously been farming. What a waste of time, get over it already. This is why I couldn't care less if they patch farm spots, you hardly ever get anything good from it anyway. And it certainly doesn't help your raid or crucible skill. I've got 3 words for you, vault of glass!

This is just clear proof why cave farming doesn´t need to be fixed! As it´s just stupidity and far from efficient! Let these sheep continue on wasting their time sitting in a single spot shooting at a dark hole day in day out and ruining their brain in the process. If it wasn´t damaged already. So really! There is nothing to fix. The rest of us just continue on enjoying all aspects of the game and earn our rewards that way.

That sucks but keep it up! Eventually rng have to bless even the unluckiest guys. Haven`t gotten exotic my self yet(not counting the exotic bounties) Too bad I didn`t have enough coins to buy red death from xur when he had it. Hopefully he has it next weekend *crossing fingers* Lets see. I might have gotten around 30 - 40 legendary engrams(honestly lost count after loot cave). What I have gotten from them: 2 legendary shotguns, legendary rocket launcher, Legendary pulse rifle,legendary sniper and a legendary helmet for my hunter.No exotics. Someday I will get one.

Got an exotic and I'm only lvl 6 it was my third legendary engram

My friend who I play with everyday, cryptark 16 has gotten 3 exotics already. I myself am 14 and got none. And he's maybe had 10 legendary engrams.

yeah, doing the raid or nightfall would pretty much give way higher chances of getting a exotic than engrams, and you would probably get more luck on a exotic reward from the crucible than from engrams lol.

I don't even get my hopes up anymore as far as engrams and the cryptarch go, I've just been giving stuff to the cryptarch just to get my rep/rank up with him. I was hoping that a higher rank would bring more better RNG percentages my way. (I'm lvl 12 with him) But after seeing that your cryptarch lvl 33 I don't think I'll ever pick up another engram ever again lol, seriously. I'm just going to hope that Xur has an exotic that I want, or that I will someday finally get an Exotic Bounty that I keep hearing so much about. I'm loving the game though, and I hope it doesn't sound like I'm complaining...

I'm sorry man you have to be unlucky I have a total of 8 exotics 4 primary weapons (Thorn, Bad Juju, Hard Light, Mida Multi Tool) 1special weapon (Invective) 1heavy (Gjallajorn) 1hand piece (Sunbreakers) 1 chest piece (Heart of Praxic Fire) You have to just be unlucky man that is just ridiculous try turning in all of your bounties at once I've gotten 3 exotic weapon bounties that way. Need any help or have questions feel free to ask.
