I noticed the expansion packs on the psn store.
They're charging around £30 for 2 dlc's.
Does anybody own these? Are they worth it?
I know that more expensive versions of the game had them included as one of the perks.
-
I would say hell to the yes, but then again I'm in love with the game.

My concern with the Expansion Pass Content is the life span of Destiny, if you look on IGN they state the Expansions Pass content is part of the Playstation exclusive 1 year deal, now IGN is the only place to have this information that i have found even the Destiny Wiki pages dont have it but if this is true, The Xbox versions are pretty much screwed! With the lack of content already in the game the Xbox version's are going to be crippled if the Expansion pass dlc is released a year after Playstation, people are going to get extremely bored very quickly and i cant see the Xbox versions lasting the year without the content. I know Bungie/Activision are holding a lot of the information back about Destiny but tbh they really need to come forward with a lot of information regarding the game as i can see it dying off very quickly on the Xbox platforms.
-
how would anyone know if things that are not released yet are worth it? I will be buying them because I love me some Destiny.
-
I am from the future. Only a month from the future though... I have no idea...
-
They haven't come out yet
-
Probably not. But that won't stop me from buying them. Money in itself is a morally bankrupt part of life, the world is run by some people who have the dark gift.
-
I'm buying them
-
If the expansion packs are treated like MMO expansion packs, yes. They will have enough content to match at least a half of what existed when the game originally arrived. If the expansion pack are treated like CoD "expansion pack"? No. A few maps mean nothing. I'm inclined to believe the first one.
-
I know this is far fetched but Id like to see another 1 or 2 plantets in the game to explore. I know bungie will not be doing something like this but it would be nice to see.
-
If both have their own raids like it's hypothesized, then hell yes they will be.
-
Barnes said that at least some of the new story content will take you through different parts of areas included in the main game, so you'll still run into players who don't have the expansion. "We always want to create spaces where people can get together and cooperate, and we feel like that is a big innovation in Destiny," he said.
*lol* muted guardians UNITE!
-
I bought destiny limited edition and got both expansions. I just hope they are really good dlc.
-
just warming the delorian up now ;)
I noticed the expansion packs on the psn store. They're charging around £30 for 2 dlc's. Does anybody own these? Are they worth it? I know that more expensive versions of the game had them included as one of the perks.
Cod has been charging $15 per map pack which only had 5 maps for years now I would imagine it will be worth it. Borderlands 2 charge practically 10 for a character DLC so if you enjoy the game buy it seriously World of Warcraft cost $15 a month to play not that big of a deal to me MMOs that's not that bad of a price each World of Warcraft expansion is 40 so seriously people stop complaining about the price of the expansion DLCs you don't like the game trade it in and be done with it stop complaining
-
I'm pretty sure they'll add new planets. Mercury for example; if we have a pvp map, why wouldn't they make a pve one! Also if you haven't noticed there is a 3rd bracket if you go to the subclasses, wonder why?! :)
-
I got it anyways, not sure what's all going to be included in them. If they're $15 a piece I'd imagine they'd be large DLC. As of now I don't think there is any way of telling if it's worth it or not.
-
Out of principle I wouldn't support it, considering how ripped off we got on this version. Even if the DLC were worth it.
-
Damn 30 pounds? You guys are getting screwed, ours is $35. Yours is like $50. That's some shit. Also yea I think it'll be worth it. Should expand the universe more. I'm going to buy the first expansion (two dlcs, the darkness below, and the house of wolves) and see how it is. If I think it's worth it I'll continue to purchase the rest if not then, well we'll see how it goes.
-
Probably not... if we look at the initial game as a quality bar the expansions probably won't be worth the price. It would probably be better to just buy some new games that are coming up in the coming months.
-
If I bought the PS3 expansion pass can I use the digital upgrade thing to bring it to PS4 or does that only work for the game?
-
How should we know? They aren't out yet.
-
You can buy them now, like a preorder of sorts, but no one "has them" yet. We have no clue what the final content really is, at least I don't think we know what the final content is. So it's really more of a guessing game right now, i'd wait until they launch real info on what's in each dlc.
-
Probably increases level cap/ allows you to use more exotic
-
Probably not. And I consider them part of the game that was just not included.
