there are two types of destiny players

So, having read the forums since way before launch I can surmise there are two types of players. There are the FPSers that expect guaranteed rewards for everything. Events, Crucible, Strikes, Raid. And the MMOers that understand the majority of what Bungie want to do with the game. Like RNG, and lockouts and about not getting anything handed to you for nothing. About the Grind. What does everybody else think? Edit: I think a better classification would be RPGers than MMOers.

Yeah as you said with your Edit, Destiny is more like an Online RPG like Diablo, not an MMO. But in games like Diablo and Path of Exile, yes there is a lot of RNG, but it isn't as harsh as Destiny is at the moment, for example in Diablo, you can get Legendary items quite often and you're rewarded for doing higher level content. In Destiny you get Exotics / Legendaries at a ridiculously low rate, probably because of the lack of amount of items overall and you're actually punished for doing higher level content as it reaps the same rewards as low level content. In Diablo / POE, you grind the highest level content for the best gear, in Destiny you shoot endlessly into a cave of Level 6 enemies for the best loot. The problem in my opinion lies in the way loot is found, the highest level content should give the best rewards, and this would fix everything. (Make Level 26+ enemies have a chance at dropping Legendary / Exotic ITEMS (Not Engrams)) (Make Level 20+ Enemies have a chance at dropping Level 20 Blue ITEMS (Not Engrams)) And on top of this, scale the drops of ALL enemies dependant on enemy level, NOT player level. Add Level 26/28 Strikes, Add trading. I would also add more RNG to Legendary item stats to the point where they could actually be better than Exotics, like Diablo, this way grinding could essentially never stalemate. (Currently Level 30 With chosen Exotics = game over)
