Shotguns are OP and the official noob weapon of the game. The way the maps are laid out and the way the radar functions is what puts them over the top and they should be nerfed with that in mind. Just watch the killfeed on any somewhat small map - it's hilarious. Common posts: >Just don't go close to the enemy, stay at medium range This completely ruins the flow of the game. You expect me to just run backwards every time I see red on the radar? And what about more fast paced modes like rumble where focusing on 1 enemy for too much time will just get you killed? >If I shoot you with a shotgun at pointblank range in real life, you're dead. Lol. >I use the shotgun and I can tell you that it's not OP. Just because you can't dominate with the shotgun doesn't mean it's not OP. The shotgun is the go-to weapon if you're garbage because free cheap kills are it's specialty. Normally you'd suck, but with the shotgun you can do okay. A lot of my friends are like that, but at least they can admit it. Solution: Make special ammo harder to find on small maps, and decrease the rate of fire on shotguns. Now people will only pull it out when they really need to and you are punished more for missing, while it remains extremely effective at close range. Lastly I'd just like to comment on the irony of all the "you're just bad at the game" posts being thrown at OP - if you look at the profiles of people for a shotgun nerf and those against it, there's a pretty distinct pattern. See if you can find it.
