Lore Series: The Traveler and The Darkness
The second part of my ongoing lore series, discussing the Traveler, his position in the universe of Destiny, and our shared enemy the Darkness. A lot of theory and speculation in this one, as information regarding both is somewhat difficult to glean, however, the video itself stays away from pure speculation and tries to present a broad picture of our sleeping ally and oncoming enemy.

2 RepliesVery interesting speculations on the nature of the Traveler and the Darkness. :) From the vague ways that the Traveler and the Darkness have been presented, it would seem that at least the Darkness could be a metaphor. What that metaphor represents—an entity, a collection of entities, or a condition—is a mystery. We do know the Traveler and the Darkness battled (as told by the Speaker), and that the Darkness crippled the Traveler. It leads to the belief that the Darkness is at least a tangible thing that could affect the also tangible Traveler (as far as we know. Maybe the white sphere is merely a projection). It also casts doubt on the speculation that the Darkness arose from within humanity, unless we accept the position that the Collapse was caused by the battle between the humanity’s Darkness and the Traveler. Which is also a juicy speculation. Keep up the good work.
