So there were a lot of rumors revolving around "cross-platform" multiplayer on destiny. For those of you who are unaware of cross-platform gaming, it's where players on Xbox 360 could play with people on Xbox one, and players on PS4 could play with people on PS3. This was Bungie's main reason for not releasing Destiny on PC. Well it has come to the final conclusion with Bungie saying that they will NOT be doing cross-platform gaming with Destiny, because players with Next Gen consoles would dominate last gen consoles. For example: Someone is playing Destiny on the 360 while you are playing Destiny on the One. They look at you through their sniper scope, and since they are on last gen hardware, you only show up as 2 pixels on their screen, and they show up as 4 pixels on yours, simply because your console is newer and can process more power and graphics detail than the last gen console, therefore The Xbox One player would have the advantage over the Xbox 360 player. So maybe sometime we will see cross-platform gaming come into play, but as of now, it's a big Nope. But let me ask you guys a question. Comment and let me know how many of you would still want to have cross-platform gaming, to be able to play with other people and your friends of other gen consoles, even though they might have a slight advantage over you? Because I'm just saying, I would still want it. I mean come on, at least you'd still have the awesome Co-op Destiny has to offer.
