I also am not sure this is the kind of game you can grade on what's there on day one. Initially getting to level 20 I thought "OK its a halo clone nothing new here". Then I got 20 and started doing strikes ect and found myself thinking it was kinda cool that a shooter had some replay ability beyond pvp. And now they are adding more stuff fairly regularly giving me even more stuff to do. There are still definite issues like chat, balance, and clan integration I think are needed but bungie is acknowledging that too. I'd say my score went from a 6 to a 7, and now maybe a solid 7.5 or 8.

It's indeed a realistic and good review. Destiny might be the most expensive gamemade, it doesnt made it the best. It's a 7/8 out of 10 for me. Joe gave it a 6. Passable.

1 ReplyI think he hasn't given enough time for the game to 'open up' I mean, we haven't been sure if Destiny is going to actually do that until the Reef becomes available. From there, we can become more speculated on the idea that Bungie will make the game time-progressing than player progression.

1 ReplyThe bigger issuenis the game.has been out for over a week now, why are people still listening to reviews at this point? I dont trust reviews mainly after my lost planet 2 experience. Reviewers gave that game really bad reviews, it was one of the most entertaining expriences I had on my 360. Nothing like running around foreign planets looking like a drag queen with huge guns. Needless to say a lot of people commented on my characters appearance.

4 RepliesI do agree with him about the trend that is happening now with DLC. Its up to us and the reviewers to stop this trend. Stop buying DLC on Day one. Play the game for a couple of months and if it deserves more money then hand it over. I love battlefield but I refuse to buy premium because the price tag is way too high for the amount of content you get. Not to mention the fact of how quickly DLC is released which only proves that it could be in the retail version but is helped off for DLC. Don't get me wrong. I like the Idea of DLC and expanding a game but we should get ou money's worth from the start.

I think the review score is quite low considering how much free content is on the way and that he does have some factual errors: 1. Expansions will have a different storyline so they didn't just cut out story pieces for dlc 2. 500 million wasn't for this one game, it was for the entire franchise. Overall it deserves commercial success due to the fun value, but deserves critical bashing due too many flaws. However considering how well made the game is overall and how good the core elements are, I think it deserves a good score, not a average one, so 7-8.

I'll preface I've played a few halos and I'm not a rabid fan of the halo series. In fact I think I've played three and besides I'm a soldier and kill aliens because they are bad I've never gotten much from that story either. Is it because they made halo?

He makes a lot of good points. Bottom line is I'm happy with my play experience and I hope a lot of his criticisms are addressed because that just means I'll have more reasons to play a game I'm having a lot of fun with already. You can like something while still acknowledging where parts of it could be better or just aren't fun for you or other people. Overall though I'm having fun with it and don't feel like I wasted my money.

9 RepliesI've spent 60-100 bucks on one night of dinner and a movie. 60 bucks for a game that has already provided me with more than a weeks worth of entertainment is well worth the price paid. He'll Star Wars has 6 movies to it and you all paid to see each one. Time for these whiny broke ass bitches to realize the world isn't here to give you entertainer for free.

2 RepliesPeople really need to remember what "reviews" are. They are an opinion, the opinion of the reviewer and nothing more. Too many people following the nonsense of Gamergate have forgotten that a review either on a screen in written form or a video review via youtube is still just a review. If Joe had to wait a couple of weeks to post his review it could just be as simple as him waiting to play as much of the game as he could be commenting on it, or did not get a review code for the game and had to buy it just like the rest of did. Either way, the views expressed are his, and should others feel the same you will also find those who have really enjoyed Destiny and rate it highly. That is how opinions tend to work. You can take it for what it is and make up your own dam mind but people really need to stop going over the top about reviews and the people behind them.

34 RepliesAngry Joe is not a credible reviewer. He always waits a couple of weeks after a game releases so he can get a sense of what the internet thinks of said game. Then he just copies what the internet thinks and that's basically his entire review. It's all a ploy to maximise potential likes and favourites instead of actually saying what he thinks.
