I'll go first, when I was 14 was riding my skateboard to my market to pick up some ms points, when I was riding across the crosswalk, some stupid lady that wasn't paying attention or something, was driving her car and all I hear is some horns and then bam! The car hit me, I blacked out and when I woke up I was lying on the sidewalk with the fire department and ems around me, I told them I was fine, in some sort of muttering so I don't think they heard because my vision was all blurry and I wasn't to sure on what had just happened, long story short, they still took me to the hospital, amazingly I hadn't broken anything, and I just walked with a limp for a few days. That's the closest I've come to death, now you go.
all I wanted were some damn Microsoft points.
Edited by Apollo: 9/28/2014 2:52:20 AMI was 10. We were at my uncles doing a firework show when one of my less smart cousins knoced over one of the giant rocket shaped fireworks....after he lit it. I didn't notice it was pointed at my face because I was looking the other way. Then I dropped a toy car and bent down to get it. I fell and tripped about 3 srconds before hearing a phooom sound and looking up, still on the ground, I saw a big blue ball of death. Basically my clumsiness with a toy car saved my life.

I was 7 years old and in the town of Peterborough, England and was at my friends house when we spotted a tornado coming directly towards us. We were all like 'oh shit, were -blam!-ed' and ran inside, told his mum and we sat in the hallway and watched as the tornado passed over the house. Windows smashed before out eyes, glass cut my arms and I still have scars and I'm 16.

I once almost had my leg ripped off when going down a water slide. It was called the icarus drop and what happens is you and a buddy are in a two seater tube, it shoots you down slopenfor accelaration upwards to the "sun" and then you slide down sideways, it was when i was on the front seat of the tube we were going sideays but we veered a little too far to the right and my leg almost made physical contact with a large column on the way down. Luckily my reflexes kicked in at that point and i pulled my legs back just in time. I never go on that ride ever since.

Edited by Hayabusam60: 9/21/2014 5:33:15 PMI had 4 near death experiences. #1 I was 10 ounces at birth, I couldn't breath on my own but I pulled through. Doctors said that if I was born earlier, I would have not survived. #2 I was ready to go to bed when I was 4 years old. All of a sudden I stopped breathing, my dad had to call 911 at 3 in the morning and I had to stay overnight in the hospital. I then went home in a taxi with my dad. #3 I nearly drowned in swimming lessons. We were on those pool noodles in the shallow end. The swimming instructor said to follow him towards the deep end, I was the slowest and fell off in the middle of the pool while everybody else was in the deep end. I was in the water for at least 30 seconds freaking out before the instructor started to swim his way from the deep end. #4 When I was 10-12 I was eating Wheaties at home while my dad was sleeping upstairs. All of a sudden one of the flakes got lodged in my throat perfectly horizontally so I couldn't get it out. I started to slam on tables to wake him up, he ran downstairs and did the Heimlich Maneuver on me. If he wasn't there, I most likely would have died. Somebody wants me dead.

I got a motor scooter for my birthday when I was young (12ish). My mom let me ride it to school, but insisted she drive behind us incase anything happened. I managed to make it within sight of the school when I crossed the street. No, I didn't touch a car. I simply hit the curb of the cross walk path off center and was impaled on the handle bars. The handles turned ninety degree and stabbed me in the stomach causing me to fall and black out. I woke up with my mom carrying me out of the truck and into the school nurses room. I had gone into shock at this point and was barely consious. I got to ride in an ambulance and was in the hoapital for the rest of the day. I was sent home to return that night with horrible pains in my abdomen. Apparently my appendix had swollen from the impact, but not enough to be noticable early in the day. Luckily I didn't need surgery, just meds for the swelling and pain. Moral of the story: always make sure someone has your back
clearly my brother didn't... The little turd was ridding in front of me and never noticed that I didn't show at school...
Edited by Crestfallen: 9/22/2014 9:41:27 AMDis. Although seriously, I had a few close calls when I was young. Most were car-related. Once, when I was about 6, I was in the car with my mother. We were driving along a road late at night, when a Kangaroo jumped in front of the road out of nowhere, smashed itself on the front window, then dissapeared. Left a huge crack and blood. If we didn't have our seatbelts on, we probably would have died. Also been bit by spiders, accidently bumped the gear box to reverse while driving, almost drowned, had an iron fall on my head when I was a baby, chocked countless times when I was very young, came close to getting run over while walking home from school countless times, met a psychotic drug-dealer, almost got set on fire while sleeping, ohh good memories...

It was a car crash; I was in a tiny ford escort and I ran a red light by accident. I heard a horn, turned my head right and blank. Woke up about 10 min later, with a huge gash on my forehead, was told my head went through the driver window. Turns out I took out a brand-spankin new police prison van.. Luckily no one else was injured.

I once stepped on the middle of a water moccasin while lost in the woods. Luckily it just flailed around until I lifted my foot then it darted to the stream.
