How much does the DEF stat matter?
Hey guys, I was wondering how much the defense of a piece of armor matters? Say one piece of headgear had 78 DEF, but another piece had 71 DEF and 31 strength which reduces the cool down of my melee ability; which one would be better to have? I just don't understand how big a difference 7 DEF would really make. Thanks.

2 RepliesIt comes down to you. If you lower your defense, obviously you'll take a bit more incoming damage. If you feel the jump in strength is better than 7 more defense, I say go for it. I don't think it'll be insanely noticeable. Just compare the stats with the right trigger, button, what have you and see what you like and don't like. If the perks of having a better melee outweigh taking a bit more damage, then go with that. It's all up to you.
