The game has a crap story. Mediocre voice acting at best, of which there is very little. It is WAAAAAAAAY to repetitive. On the budget these guys are rolling, this game should not only be interactive, and possess all kinds of random enemy encounters, but it should have MUCH more length. Alot of people are spouting about how, its a ten year story... yes, but think about that.... when do you think the next destiny is coming out? NOT FOR A WHILE. so youll get an expansion in a month? realistically how much game do you think that is going to add? Right now the game requires 150 vanguard points to get ONE PIECE of vanguard armor... and you are only allowed to aquire 100 a week. Basically, Bungie has pigeon holed the player base into having to play the same dungeons at least 25 times per piece in order to achieve any kind of gear worthy of a players true time. And there is nothing new in these dungeons each time. The same speaches, the same patrols, the same drop ships.... not to mention, the utter disgusting predictability of the attack sequences.(everytime my ghost stops to scan) The games only saving graces are the PVP, and the fact that playing with other people from your clan is fun because you can talk.... oh wait though.... there is almost NO in game support for clans at all. The game honestly deserves no higher than a 6 at this point by any means. I would have given it a 5 out of 10 released as it is on any next gen system for sure. If you rate a game you must rate all games by that scale. And that is what most of the sites are doing. Reviewing this game as it stands in its best shape and form on Next Gen consoles, and it is COMPLETELY LACKING OF ANY SUBSTANCE WORTH OF A HIGH RATING! For instance, I played border lands. A well designed game, with expansions, and multiplayer.... it DESTROYS this game entirely as a shooter. Or even in another type of game. Look at The Last of Us. Another product which on all levels, even graphically it beats this game. And dont even get me started on story quality. This games story is absolutely abysmal. To the point of nearly wanting to quit after it ended. You cannot be a true gamer, and look at destiny and think of it as a game of amazing quality for next generation games. It lacks FAR to much substance and versatility. Reviewers and review sites are giving low scores BECAUSE OF THIS FACT! if this came out five years ago, it would get a 9. But for all the money they had, and all the ability of theses systems to do great things.... NOTHING was done to push the envelope in ANY way. Its a huge ball they dropped hard and will now have to recover from it. Flat out, as far as this launch/prologue/ whatever you want to think of it as, it is VERY VERY BAD from Bungie. They would have done much better to bring us a larger more finished, and longer story scripted product only to next gen systems, and left the old generation alone. In another year, the last gen systems will fully begin to be left out of the new title developments anyway. Even Destiny has told people this. its a very disappointing release. I LOVE BUNGIE, I do have fun in Destiny (when i am playing in clan. The rest is just a boring grind) .... but not enough fun to warrant 65 dollars for the game and 34 for the expansion set up, and then a wasted 10 hours on story line that was short and had absolutely NO character arch, nor captivated anyone at all. It deserves a 5 or 6. Ill still play it with friends, but Im not gonna act like this game is a game of the quality Bungie is capable of in any way shape or form. I hope Bungie recovers quickly with that Half a billion dollars they recieved to make this franchise. Because if they don't. They are gonna lose more than face in the gaming community.
