PvP Loot Madness?
Just a typical day on Destiny, playing some PvP. We are totally doing work online, there are 5 of us. At the end of a recent game, our random teammate gets a legendary and strange coin for going 2-7.
Wtf is this?
I understand that items are random but a coin and a legendary for only 2 kills?
I just think that people who do better should have a [b]slightly[/b] better chance of getting items. Just [b]slighty[/b].
Anything like this happen to anyone?

I went something like 23/11 in a match, helped bringing us back at the last minute for the win, so I was at the top of the list, and EVERYBODY, literally everyone on my team, got 2 rare rewards, engrams or otherwise. I got nothing. You know what I did? Laughed, played another match, and was rewarded graciously. Just suck it up, your turn will come. I love knowing that I have just as good a chance as anyone to get a reward, whether I'm dominating or getting destroyed. It keeps me coming back.

1 ReplyI do agree, i feel depressed when you work so hard trying to be MVP and dont get squat. BUT its how they implemented RNG. Now if we look at it at a different perspective, If RNG was a Uniform distribution, if we dont include farming, if everyone plays same number of hours, we all will be evenly geared ( comparing to the average of the entire community ). And i tend to brush it off my mind quick for 2 reason, one is in crucible, everyone is sync to a set stats ( nothing overpowering ). Gears you get are only good in PvE. Second is that end game content raid is the only one that should be justified of how your importance was to the game. If you beat glass and didnt get squat then you reserve the right to rage about it. Just be glad nobody is exploiting the fact that even if you que and dont play, you still get crucible marks and there is no vote to kick player.( unless there is a vote to kick option that i dont know about )

I believe the general complaints are : For good players- They feel if they do good consistently they should have a slightly higher shot to get drops. For average to bad pvp players- They feel it balances out because they need it more, they paid the same price as you did, and random loot rewards everyone. I think mostly good kids are annoyed when they are on top. And the last kid gets some sick engram or loot. Hence the complaints. Both sides are right imo, higher drop rate for top players, and leave it random. Give number one guy a slightly better chance, I think thatd make them happy while not taking away anything else. Agree?

Someone on my team did worse, and got an exotic! The Last Word hand cannon is in the hands of someone that can't use it.

I love this game and I cant stop playing, but wtf bungie?! Iam almost first every single match in Deathmatch, if I play with 5 of my mates we*re winning also. Just played a round and got 37 kills in Team Deathmatch, what do I get?! NOTHING! But the dude with 2 kills and 12 deaths gets an exotic weapon, good job bungie on -blam!-ing up the loot system..

This is pretty sad, if you ask me. Aside from the fact that everyone knows loot is as random as a slot machine, making the entire point of the post redundant, I haven't seen anyone put forward a compelling reason why a lower skilled player isn't just as entitled to a rare or legendary piece of loot. They paid full price for the game just like everyone else. What do you think this community is, a caste system?

Huh... Why are you even whining about this... He was the lowest level there. He needed that chest and coin more then all the others. Over half that team is decked out with legendaries. That guy probably still has uncommons...

Come top a lot and never got anything over rare. Had some Strange Coins though so I'll be able to buy my own exotic item soon anyway. Would like some legendary drops, at least once in a while, but I do understand why weaker players seem to get more loot than the stronger ones.

It's both good and bad the way the loot system works. Good because even the poorer players are not pushed out for not winning and want to continue. Bad because the good players don't feel like they get what they deserve for playing well. I've been on both sides in different matches. It's just the design this game has gone with for loot. Accept it because there's always someone bigger than you and when they hand you your arse, you may get a strange coin.

Yeah, and Im definitely not a fan of it. It's cool that my friends would get cool stuff, even if sometimes their afk, but it just sucks if you're usually around the top 2 or 3 people in your team and not even get anything.

1 ReplyI just don't think the loot needs to be for tryhards and vehicle-champions exclusively. When I started at crucible, I was BAD. I'm still not great. But when I started I was utterly terrible. Then I got a gun as a reward randomly and I started doing better. Better weapon and more encouragement to improve instead of being excluded because I didn't previously play CoD to death or Halo. I've gotten rewards for terrible matches and I've gotten nothing for great matches and vice versa.

Spent a combined 3 and half hours playing PVP over 2 days (after work), and yesterday in my last 2 matches before I went to bed I received light armour for all body parts. I appreciate that Bungie want us to keep playing the game and to put effort in to achieving rewards but to constantly sit there and watch others get loot over you, especially when players leave and there's just 2 of you left in the game is hard to take sometimes. The games awesome and I appreciate that players who aren't as good at PVP deserve rewards as well but loot needs to equally shared for everyone in a better manner.

2 RepliesThat is something i can agree. Idk about evryone else here but something realy F** up happend during developement of Destiny that we are getting so many let downs from bungie. I know its their first game developed outside of microsoft studios but what ive being seeing doesn't justify what has been going on in some parts of the game Lack of content, lack of depth in story and bad masurement of game loot, this key points almost feel like they were pushed to get the game done before half of it was finnished I dont want to express my concerns fully yet but its starting to get all too fishy to just ignore and wait, i haven't seen bungie's comment on the matter since now and if there is, please, if anyone has info about it send it my way so i can understand some of this flaws, cause of right now i feel like its mass effect all over again, i just hope im wrong on this one truly.

2 RepliesA clan mate of mine had went 6-12 in last place and got an exotic auto rifle today. I really want to punch him in the face. And the rare occasion I do terrible in pvp I don't get squat (I went 6-14 that same game. Super OP mode. Be jelly.) I've yet to get a crucible reward better than a rare item. Fml
