Bungie Please Give Us Info

Seriously, there's so many of us getting all of these errors and you're not even saying anything? You have the time to tell us that raids are coming today when we clearly already know but you can't take five minutes to at least tell us that you're working on it? I'm sure we would all like to know what's going on. Enough keeping secrets, just be open with your loyal fans. I think I speak for everyone on here having these issues when I say that we deserve some customer service and acknowledgment of the problem. I haven't been able to get through a whole mission in three days and it's hampering my ability to play my current favorite game. I paid enough for this game and should get the service I deserve. Please tell us what's going on and fix your problems with your netcode or whatever may be the case. Anyone who reads this whole thing please post here to show how much this needs to be addressed. Thanks all. UPDATE: okay everyone, for those of you getting the bee error code, which means packet loss, try this out: Before doing this my packet loss was 3% which cause my error. First: make your xbox ip static. If you don't know what that means, just google it and you'll find a video. (I looked at one about making your NAT open and it told me how to make my ip static) second: once it is static, log in to your router and forward all of the ports for the Xbox one or whatever system you have (I have xbone so obviously I used those ports) Third: reset your console AND router. I did these things and I played for four hours with zero interruptions and my network details check came back with 0% packet loss. Give it a try and let me know how it went for you :)

    • You can find updates for errors related on help.bungie.net as well as @BungieHelp on twitter. There are widely known issues such as the university issue as well as common error codes. Please don't take Bungie "not responding directly" as them ignoring the comments. Please keep reporting issues that you're experiencing in Destiny use the correct forums, and be excellent to each other.

        Just saying, it's probably not that easy to figure out a fix for 4 separate consoles, especially when millions are playing just fine with no disconnects. They had an update 2 days ago I think but it didn't fix it for everyone. Have you tried the fixes that are in the other threads about the issue? Setting NAT on, changing to a static ip, etc?

        • Thanks for the tip. I opened the ports Bungie listed, but still got disconnected. Then this morning I reset the router and 0 disconnects But I also turned off system notifications. Going to turn that back on tonight and see if I get disconnects again.

          • I had 0 problems with disconnecting until the Update YESTERDAY. ANd today I keep getting disconnected when I'm almost done with a strike. It's really annoying and since you can't resume where you left off, gotta restart. Playlist I kind of Understand, I guess, but the regular strikes and story missions, why can't I continue them where I left off?

          • Alright guys here's another update! Since I had done that stuff to my network, I haven't had a single disconnect due to the BEE error. I've been able to play crucible and pve not problem. I did receive two random errors that were, I guess, just random connection errors from bungies end since when I looked it up it said general connection error, nothing special. Has my method helped anyone? I'm trying to help anyone I can :)

          • the most annoying thing ever is spending over 20 mins on a hard heroic dungeon only to get dropped when the boss is 3% away from dying. I havent cursed this much since when Dial up internet gaming was normal and someone calling your house would drop you. This is major -blam!-ing bs that in this day and age we're getting disconnection errors.

                • I'm moved to England because I work over here my brother asked me if I can buy a xbox one so that we can play destiny so I bought everything I payed around 598£ for everything and now I can't play with my brother who lives on the other Side of the planet... I have to say thanks you bungie I'm a fan of your games since 2001 (halo 1) and now that's how it ends ? I don't know if I have to laugh or cry or scream I really don't know I tried everything ... Xx

                  • I've got 0% packet loss an open NAT, a static IP adress and all ports Microsoft suggested are open. I'm still getting that bee error. Maybe in your case it's been really because of packet loss. In my case it's not. I've checked my package loss with different tools. I have 0 % packet loss, and 100% bee related disconnects on the tower or in the crucible. As far as I care this game has become worthless. I bought it for it's crucible and now I can't play in there. All I can do now is playing the same strikes over and over again, because they are so (not) interesting or just explore all those worlds until some invisible wall stops me or my guardian dies because he came in contact with some water. Good thing I can get me refound. I still wait until tomorrow to see if they adress all our connection issues. If they wont do that this games goes back to my retailer. I know from the beginning I would have been better off if I've just bought Metro Redux or something like that :( You know.. anything that works.

                        Tonight i'll do this: 1 - set a static ip on ps4 2 - insert this IP on dmz from router. 3 - turrn off and 30 seconds later on again. 4 - the only collateral thing about this manouver is that the playstation became completely vulnerable to attacks...since i have nothing to be hacked there that's what i'll do...i'll recomend this try...if this don't work clearly is a bungie problem... ps: you from bungie should at least inform us about all this issues...

                          • Same problem here. I'm playing on Xbone and getting several messages a day saying that my connection had issues. I thought it could be that, so I installed a program to track my internet conection. Looks like it's not my internet connection. I mean, I'm loving the game so far. But getting a disconnection when I'm 2 minutes away from finishing it on lvl 22 by myself after spending 45 on it is kind of frustrating. And it didn't happen once. I know it's complicated and you need time to fix it. But just a "we're on it" would be awesome. Thanks for making a fantastic game. And good luck fixing this issues!

                            • I have yet to get this game since I myself have no internet for the moment. However, if this is really an issue, I would love for Bungie to fix it and announce that they fixed it before I buy the game.

                                • when you get at least 3 errors within the hour exit game, clear system cache, reboot console, reset router, and reconnect network it might have disconnected try game again... tho sometimes just quiting out and reentering helps for minor errors such as matchmaking issues or ghost world

                                    • Would love any info on fixing caterpillar. Played beta and every other game without issue on my XB1, unfortunately unless I do crucible or am facing a strike boss I get booted immediately. Strange that the game knows to keep me connected when I am facing a strike boss, but any other time it knows that it isn't "major" if I remain in-game?
