the Best Thing I've Seen In This Game
So my buddy and I were patrolling on the moon, and I was just dancing on a cliff while he was finishing the Knuckleduster (Melee 30 enemies w/o dying) bounty.
I said, "Watch you die with one left, haha"
Right then a public event happened and it said protect the Warsat, so I jumped and glided 360 style looking for where it will land.
Two or three flashes of light and a humongous boom later, I see that my comrade has fallen. The Warsat landed right on top of him in a big open field where it could of crashed anywhere!
He had one kill left when he died... I was literally crying because I was laughing so hard.
Anyone care to share their funniest Destiny moment?
Update: I was patrolling on Mars, chest farming and I was hit by a cabal shield, and like many I was sent flying. But not into a wall or another cabal like everyone else.
I flew about 350 feet above the exclusion zone wall straight up into the air and hit the invisible ceiling. It scared me so hard I blinked back up into the ceiling a second time before misjudging my blink to try to land safely and imprinted my body into the sand between 4 cabal instead, haha. I could see the curvature of Mars basically, haha.
Update 2: Botched a grenade in PvP on Blind watch, bouncing it in a doorway just after an enemy enters, I try to run out right when it explodes and I kill myself and the burn gets him, so he got no points due to the suicide, and I got the kill, had me laughing for a while of how pissed and flabbergasted he must of been of that incredible luck.

Just the other day, I was grinding out Spinmetal in the Cosmodrome. A level 2 just happened to be nearby, and was getting swarmed by Fallen. I slaughtered them without hesitation and he just followed me around for the next 15 minutes XD

I was doing ROC strikes this morning after the reset and we were on super-turtle's map. We had killed the first lieutenant and my random teammate decided he was a bad ass and would charge the second lieutenant in the halo hat building. All I saw was his body fly from the window and land in the canyon tunnel area behind where the tank drops and you leave. I was laughing so hard I couldn't ride my sparrow straight to go over there and revive him. I'd never seen someone ragdoll like that in destiny.

Me and my friend where farming at exclusion zone and two cabal with shields hit him from each side and shot him straight in the the air

That used to happen at the old loot cave all the time. The event would start and everyone would stop shooting and look everywhere but up! Epic!!!

Doing 9000 with out dying. Cabal smashed me, sent me flying. To this day, I never attempt that bounty.

1 ReplyI was doing the 9000 exp bounty and had less than 200 to go when a Damn Dreg killed me. Pissed me off so much. But then, and this I swear, the bastard Teabaged Me. I was like WTF?!? My friend was in tears from laughing so hard

Running Vault of Glass with randoms yesterday. I was lagging out really bad at the oracle section, and I couldn't throw grenades or throwing knives. It would play the animation but I couldn't throw anything. After dying, I was hoping I would respawn with the ability to use my abilities. I spawned with no weapons at all. I was running around barehanded, and the only thing I could do was melee people. I didn't have my knife when I meleed so I ran around saying I'd be the first person to kill Atheon using only my fists. The randoms were laughing like crazy. I got my weapons back after we had to wipe.

Started Crota from the beginning. Friend activates the pad, tells us all to go. He laughs his ass off from the pad as we all jump.

First time entering atheons throne room, friend goes charging in all excited trying to get everyone on the mic pumped up and ran right off the cliff. Needless to say we all sat there for the 30 sec laughing our asses off at him waiting to revive lol.

I was hit by a Warsat and I knew another guy was coming so I was going to wait for the res instead if walking back and low and behold another piece of debris surrounding the Warsat hit him.

Tossing a lightning grenade just to have it miraculously miss all the enemies, embed itself in the wall opposite me, and blast me in the face. It's like a once a day thing.

Edited by Stickman Al: 12/21/2014 12:52:45 PMI watched a YouTube video of the crota strike and they didn't know to let the bridge form right at the start, so the first thing that happened was a bunch of guys saying "hell yeah, let's do this, well kick crota's ass" and then 5 of them jumped off the cliff to their death like lemmings. They laughed so much and then just said "we'll that was a good start". Really had me in stitches.

Yesterday we went to destroy Crota at the Raid. A guy from my fireteam shoot at crota with his dreagonbreach, but there was no solar orb. It seems like crota has eaten the solarorb, because no one shoot at him and he gets constantly shield damage. Every minute he goes to his knees. We are standing there laughing about him. 😂😂😂

my most recent crucible encounter: It was on skyshock the match had just started and a guy was coming towards me with his pike. We danced around for a while me emptying all four shots from my shotgun at him and him nearly taking me down. He comes at me for the kill and with me not having time to reload or switch weapons, I decided to do what titans do best and punch his ass right off his pike. Some of the most fun I've had in pvp, and I've had a lot of fun in pvp.

So I was doing the Archron priest strike and we got to the part where he comes out of his capsule, so trying to act like a badass I sat infront and waited until he came out. When he came out I took out my launcher jumped back and fired my launcher. Turned out that small little pole was in my way and I killed my self. The rest of my teammates were laughing their asses of.

6 RepliesI would just like to take this moment to say that this, all these stories and experiences, are what Bungie meant Destiny to be. The story will (hopefully) expand, and there's always more darkness -Blam!- to kick, but we're making our own stories, and that's the point.

Lol. The Warsat has killed me many a time but never when I was in the middle of a bounty.

As my Titan, during this week's heroic, I accidentally misplaced my lightning grenade onto a wall directly in front of me. This is one of the few grenades that do damage to the thrower. Not to mention, the arc burn modifier was active.

I was doing the archon priest strikes and was the last guardian standing and I picked up some heavy ammo, I look around and see that the boss is about 60m away with almost no health left so I pull out my shitty blue rocket launcher reload and fire. However as soon as I fire he teleports right in front of me and tries to shrapnel launcher me. The rocket still hits him and kills him but as he was so close the explosion killed me as well thus meaning we have to start from the last checkpoint :/
