Hay legends of destiny welcome to my topic on the blade-dancer skill for hunters. i have been pondering this for a while and every time i see my team getting wiped out by one hunter in clash or control and wanted to see what you guys think.
now i understand its a super but i don't see or rarely see any other class super doing this much damage in crucible. i feel that every time i see a hunter and they go in to sword dance there is nothing i can do and then they kill every one in not only the room but the building the distance that can travel in this mode is scary.
so what do you guys think and i want to hear from hunters who use this skill to and please no lame comments about how it because people suck at the game this skill is overpowered and i am just trying to see if anyone have found a way to counter it or if you think bungie should do something to tune it down a bit.
thank you for reading

Always makes me laugh at how many people think Arc Blade is what makes the Blade Dancer a good (or OP) sub-class
The invisibility, flux grenade, and blink are far more useful by the way
Edited by Cobalt: 1/28/2015 9:57:08 PMIf you've played as a hunter a decent bit, you'll know that you just don't wipe out teams like that. A good Arc charge is 2-3 kills. Sometimes you get real lucky and kill a whole bunch. But I run blade dancer 66% percent of the time in crucible and...I almost never get 3+ kills. And there's a potential that you're killed before even getting a kill. I mean...I ran skirmish doubles the other day and both times was wiped out because of warlock shotgun melee combo. If your opponents are smart, it's rare that you get 1 or more kills. I guess I'm just annoyed by seeing people post this stuff and not ever have used the Hunter. You'll know it's not as terrible as it seems once you use it. Trust me, from my perspective, "Fist of Panic" seems OP and annoying, but I know that playing as a Titan, it's not that overpowered and IT has its downsides. (I'm not annoyed at you cause you're civil about it, just the general attitude.)
-
No, one point blank shotgun or fusion rifle can kill them or one plus a melee, on the other hand a direct rocket hit to a titan or warlock once they activate a super won't kill them it's pretty dumb
-
Nope incredibly underpowered and in need of a buff. It simply doesn't last nearly long enough. Theres still 5 to 6 minutes of un-danced gameplay! Thats enough time for another guardian to run away and let the super drain untouched. Completely unfair.
-
You can get killed while you use it which means it's not op. Also when I activate my super sometimes I don't get a kill during the time. You have to be strategic because if you pop it in someone's face you'll die unlike the titan or warlock supers. It's balanced to me because whether I'm using it or going up against it I know I have a chance to come up on top of I play my cards right.
-
For the gabillionth time, no.
-
Level your bladedancer up and you'll c it's not op at all
-
Honestly I just started playing again, I am a hunter. And I find in pvp i can be killed easily while blade dancing, and I've killed people easily in it as well. In a tight room yeah you can get pretty messed up though. For pve though in no way is it op.
-
I see Titans and warlocks saying it's op but when I play crucible I'm more comfortable using gunslinger
-
If I remember well, 9 out of the top 10 PvP Destiny players are hunters. The Arc Blade is certainly being abused in PvP, so there must be a reason why.
-
Stock response- certain aspects of a class/subclass can seem OP when dissected- however take the class/subclass as a whole and it's surprisingly evenly matched.
-
I save up my first of havoc for those bladedancer scum bags >. >
-
Takes about 2 people to focus fire to down a blade dancer. Have played all three and the only way to beat it is with another super or with more than one person fusion rifling... Unless of course you have a heavy... Then they go bye bye really quick
-
U can run from them or stay BULLTRUE, it's your choice but remember it's a super..
-
Ugh...another one of these. Take a look at your poll's results. Now stop whining. You have the ability to counter a BD, but you refuse to do so and want Bungie to change the game for you. I am shocked to see you don't play a hunter. Maybe try one before whining that they are OP. To Santa: Screw you for giving the OP Destiny for Christmas.
-
Is it overpowered in my opinion? No. Is it overpowered after reviewing all PvP stats? Yes. Is bungie going to fix anything? No... they can't even add a cut scene skip button.
-
do you even blade dance in pve?
-
Nah, it's not OP. It just takes no skill like all the other Supers in the game.
-
If you have a problem with supers just wait for inferno gametype, no supers. Once everyone starts playing that instead of regular crucible bungie might see supers are not balanced correctly and make changes.
-
...where's the "I don't give a fúck poll?...
-
I killed a blade dancer as he was slashing towards me with thorn. No problem.
-
idk about arc blade being op but defender sure is weak in comparison. I mean if i pop my bubble and he walks in there is nothing i can do, i mean come on its just a bubble, a bubble with no offenceive capeabilities whatsoever, i should be -blam!-ing invincible while im in it but nope blade dancer kills me before i can get 2 shots off with my shot gun.
-
Why must we fight about or classes and their supers?
-
Golden Gun>Bladedance
-
Why do people think both of the hunter's supers are OP? Both can be easily killed while they use it
-
They are easy to avoid. Just listen for it and hide. If they see you jump
