Bungie, for the love, why bother make engram drops certain colors if the colors mean nothing? I got 2 purple drops so far in my entire time playing. One of them became strange coins, and the other one became a rare item. It is extremely frustrating to finally become joyful for getting a purple drop only to be let down. Just make the friggin thing blue if it will become blue. Or don't have colors at all. The only thing the current system is good for is unnecessary disappointment due to expectations. Fix this nonsensical aspect of the game.

You're just not picking just to nitpick

a guarenteed color would be too boring though. And besides I believe they did this to make it that much more satisfying when you finally get an exotic item. Either way the color system I am fine with. it is the way it is because nothing is guarenteed. The color it is simply states what items you have a higher probability of getting. And if you read the description you will see that you should not get so worked up about not getting a legendary. The thing specificially states you have a chance of receiving any of the following I.E. unccommon, rare, legendary (random class), exotic (random class), and some kinda material. So suck it up it will most likely never change and get back to farming.

You hit the nail right on the head.
