10+ things that most everyone would love in Destiny

Now before you read this just know that I love Destiny theses are just some friendly suggestions that I believe would help the game immensely all together if they did all of them but some are too big for this first game I know but it would be cool if they did them on the games to come ^ DONE, I wish they did it a little different but hey it is at least higher now than it was 1) A higher level cap. to allow for a longer game and maybe to get to 30 you needed to beat the raid two times in one week or something, just for a really hard to get piece of armor. 2) A better and/or longer story, right now it is half baked... I like the idea but it needs work. Maybe going over the current missions and reworking the story on them would also add to the replay value(at least for now) then there could also be a one time reward that you can get for beating all of the story missions that goes according to your level, and same for strikes and hell maybe even raids They added to the story with the DLC but I still feel they could do more in the next DLC 3) A trading post where there is a vendor offering weapons, gear and/or materials for your unwanted gear that is specific to your class(it would be cool if it was constantly changing what you could trade in so you had to wait to see if you could trade something in). 4) A firing range to test out new guns at without leaving the tower. 5) Little apartment type things where you could buy things to put in it and expand and stuff, it would just be a fun thing to sit back and look at your achievements and such, definitely not needed but it could be a nice little detail 6) A place where clans can have their own hangouts/ be able to see who else from their clan is on Destiny without having to actually friend them. If any of you have played warframe that is kind of what i am talking about with the whole clan dojo thing. 7) Bosses that were on every planet like say an extremely tough hallowed knight that wondered around the planet and you never knew when he was going to show up to kill you, but also have multiple of these on each planet and they range in difficulty and hav different skills like one could stalk you, one could attack you with brute strength, one could send other enemies at you and try to trap you. also spawn rate after someone kills them could be different, like if the strongest one dies it could take him up to 10 hours to respawn, and also make their names known and when you kill them it will say on the screen for everyone in the match- (your name here) has slain (insert enemy name here) 8) different areas on each planet like for instance how there is only Old Russia on Earth they should have more places such as Australia, I just think that would be a great place. 9) More animals in things such as the jungles on venus, all I have seen in this game were birds and I think that having new breeds of animals on each planet would be cool, on Earth you could have packs of dogs and if you were really lucky you could get a bounty for finding certain things after you kill them and once you get enough you can get instructions and the right tools to get your own dog that can stay in your apartment which was stated in #5. 10) Betting on things, like being able to bet engrams, weapons, and glimmer with other players... they could add an arena where there are bets on tournaments of who will be the last enemy standing for example throw a wizard, ogre, minotaur, captain, knight, and a centurion in the arena and then everyone bets glimmer and whomever gets the bets right gets the pile of glimmer divided evenly out and then have weekly tournaments where there tons of enemies fighting and you can bet engrams and glimmer and materials and the winners of the betting again get all the things divided as evenly as possible with any better items going in order of who bet first. 11-infinity are up to you guys tell me what you think they should or get rid of or what like and don't like about my list and I will also be adding in quotes of ideas that were not yet posted o this thread EDIT: I changed what I had in #3, i think that no trading with other players would suit everyones wants a little more but maybe not EDIT: fordzi- [quote]Bungie, I have noticed that the enemies in destiny seriously lack backstory, in fact the entire story has little backstory. How about introducing ship customization also, I've had 10+ ships with 8 of them being a brown color, even had ship upgrades or coloring options as rewards for strikes. on a side note please fix PVP rewards!![/quote] EDIT: Seen this all around the forums, cannot believe i forgot it, chat in the tower, i would mostly use to call out "dance party on top of the postmaster building!" but still it would be great for the better usage of asking people to join your fireteam EDIT: This one is iffy for me, the whole loot system needs to be fixed, to an extent yes but then again it needs to take into consideration the levels of ppl u faced and your level and how well u did, say a lvl 5 faced a team of lvl 20+s, the 20+ guys obviously had more experience so therefore the lvl 5 was kinda screwed but if u do bad against an equal or lesser enemy then no you should definitely not get loot I hope you liked this list, I am not complaining I, like everyone else, just want this game to be all it can be because it really is pretty great except for a few things like the story and what you do in most missions.

        I like all of the ideas. For the apartment thing maybe they could add in stuff from the missions or patrols. Like after you kill a certain number of a type of enemy you get a trophy of sorts like kill a bunch of knights and get their gun or head to put on display. Or like after the raid you get a replica relic to put on the wall. Just an idea. Also maybe instead of your trading post idea, at least have someone(maybe even Xur when he comes on the weekends) sell the basic upgrade materials like spinmetal, helium filaments, spirit blooms, and relic iron. And not sell them cheap but for a hefty price. Like 8-10 of them for 2000-3000 glimmer, or a few coins or motes of light. That way there is no exploit of buying them and selling them right back to the vendors and getting more glimmer back. Cause right now it sometimes takes ages hunting the things down, that way people that don't have that much time or those people that are only really into the pvp part can more freely upgrade gear without being forced to do pve as well if they don't want to.

      • Honestly Destiny needs a lot of work to make it feel more like an mmo. The loot system is thankfully being kind of fixed, but my problem is that it just feels like another run and gun shooter after getting to ilvl 28( cause let's face it that's all the lvls really are), clearing the raid, doing PvP, but it just feels like another shooter. The talent trees are too small and I would like to see them expanded as well as instant/reactive skills a melee and one other move don't make me jump out of my chair after the 10000th time I use them. I think exotics are come across to easily, and the exotic vendor should be removed. I feel exotics should be far better than legendary weapons and gear and not have the same dmg and armor caps. That being said the exotic bounties are a great start at earning exotics, make them hard to get, in every other mmo the best gear is earned not just bought. I think that the in game clans should be addressed and the fact you can't talk to anyone, just feels like borderlands and halo at that point. The fact we have spaceships for load screens is dumb, why not just have a load screen? I honestly feel this game could be great, but at this time there are so many things I find annoying. From no boss loot to the fact that every legendary is almost identical in stats, even the raid gear! All it gives you is minor bonus dmg on like two enemies in raid , where is the set bonus? What is the point in getting the gear if it doesn't have better stats? Alright I'm done with my rant. :)

          • Bungie should of made the loot cave a mission/event/open world area. Fireteams fight to get an area with a bunch caves as for spawn points the longer you stay and the more people that are there increases the enemy's level, types if enemies, and how many of them that spawn. At the same time longer stay and amount of enemy's players kill increase engram drop rates, increases engram rarity, upgrade materials drop chances. Players do this till they all get killed or choose to leave when things are to hard for them.

          • Also Skins for guns, i love the look of them but being able to customize them like your character would make any weapon feel more unique even if brought from Xur. a Blue could feel like a legendary if it had the right skin on it, make weapons drop with random colours or have skins drop in the game like shaders (have the shaders that you find on armor when applied to the gun change how the gun looks) you spend alot more time looking at your gun in game then your character!

          • This post definitely has good ideas... But basically you are asking for a completely different game. Most of this stuff isn't dlc add-ons or patches, it's rewriting the entire structure of the game. Sounds like you don't really like the game as is, or want it to be something entirely different. Me too in a way.

            • I'd add the optional ability to ditch the dance moves on the D-pad, and allow for weapons and ammo consumables to be dropped in those slots for quick access.

            • 1. Level cap - give it time. Will probably raise in December with first expansion. 2. Yeah... actual story would be nice. Also the rest of the list is great. Would love to see some "native" hostile flora and fauna introduced as well.

I personally favor every single one of the ideas on this list. Of corse there are probably other things that can be added but as it stands right now I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!

              • 7. Ever heard of the mini event: "The enemy is moving in on each other"? Area level increases to the level of the lowest level person in the area, and all mobs of both types of enemies spawn and wreak each others, and your, face. Its fun and was a surprise when I first encountered it.
