Should There Be Matchmaking For Raids?
Should matchmaking be an option for those who can't get people to play with? People have things to do. There isn't always the option of playing with friends for multiple reasons, such as weird job hours, lack of friends who own the game, family, etc. I personally think that you should at least be given the OPTION to use matchmaking. This could not possibly hurt the game, and it could even provide an extra challenge by playing with random people because there might be a lack of communication, for those who seek it. Let's face it- if one was really in this scenario, I doubt you would be going into battle with a best friend. Either way, matchmaking can provide a great way for people to complete things that otherwise not be available to them. It's better than not being able to do them at all. Everyone should be able to play a gametype, regardless.

I can't even access the game content because i have no way to find people to play with. Why make a game with no community chat function and then lock out matchmaking. How are we supposed to meet people to play with?

1 ReplyIm 24, living waaaay away from my hometown, and currently surrounded by people 65+ in age. NOONE here can play Destiny with me. I'm really scared that I'll have no way of doing raids when they come out because I have no goddamn friends who play this game lol. For the love of god Bungie, add something that ought to be standard in games like this..... in fact, add matchmaking for the story missions too. Would make them less repetitive.

Yes, there should be. http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2gcekk/would_be_nice_to_have_some_sort_of_lfg_nightfall/ made that thread at reddit with the idea because man...that is somethign desperately needed. i remember one game that defined what type of player you are if you used a mic or not and had all sorts of robust options before you went looking for matchmaking..for someone who is usually always busy how will they ever be able to experience half of what destiny offers without that type of stuff.
