I feel kinda disappointed that they are not offering the upgrade to those of us who bought the physical copy not knowing they were going to do the upgrade for the digital version. I bought a limited edition, they could at least offer us a code. I mean after all the digital version pretty much gets everything that the physical copy does. Thanks for your time and effort.

I've read though that once you upgrade from PS3 to ps4, you are then unable to use that same account on the PS3. Regardless of physical copy or digital, your psn account with Destiny will become locked on the ps4 or Xbox, whichever. At least that's what I read and why I just got it for the ps4. Sadly this was a ways away ago. So I don't have a link... So, could be wrong, my friend is getting his PS3 version upgraded soon, so I can check to see if he can log back into it after the upgrade. Just saying incase people were trying to play with friends on older system, then soloing on the ps4. You wouldn't be able, and the upgrade is only till sometime in January. So, if Ya don't upgrade then, you have to pay for the ps4 copy.

Yup same here, it is very irritating because they cost exactly the same, but this promotion was only when you buy the ps3 version
