Occasionally when I start up the game no sound plays at all. It seems to be related to restarting Destiny after I have turned off my console and been automatically returned to the title screen. It is not an issue with my TV or Xbox because the sound works in the Xbox home screen and in other games.
The issue persisted even after I restarted my console. I was able to fix it by starting another game on the system and then coming back to Destiny, which presumably kills Destiny and restarts it. However, this is an inconvenience and should be unnecessary.

Edited by Gambit1977: 9/19/2014 8:46:52 PMI had this issue with Titanfall as a digital purchase, it could be the crumby OS?

The update suggested it fixed this but it still has the problem for me.

+ 1. Happens everytime i get the old "you have been returned to title screen due to innactivity". I go home, press the menu buton on the destiny window, choose quit and then reload to fix.

This also happened to me, x1, digital edition.

Should have bought a ps4 breh?

You dont have to quit, just go home then back to game.

Happens to me as well. Minor annoyance at the most :)

Yep I have the same issue. Quitting the game and starting it again fixes the problem. I'm running it off the disc too. I'm also noticing that when I press the guide button and than return to the game I hear a very high pitched crinkly sound coupled with all the sound effects in the game. Almost like a tin foil sound. Quitting the game and starting over fixes the problem.

This is an XBO issue, it happens in Tomb Raider and occasionally in Watchdogs as well.

Can confirm also happens to me. Appears to be an issue when your xbox was turned off but on hot standby, the game says it's taking you back to the title screen but then there's no sounds. If you go to the xbox home move around the icons then go back in game the sound comes back 9/10 times.
