I'm confused ant something's.
When playing PVE or PVP which gun stats should I be looking at in choosing the best gun?
The big coloured number seems to be the one that wants me to believe its the best gun.
I understand the PVP is supposed to be balanced but it confuses me on if I should take in a gun with a high impact or one with a smaller impact but higher attack number.
Also some guns have the attack number but then another number next to it after a forward slash for example "182 /199 attack"
Some guns have things like "arc damage" but it doesn't explain who this damage is best against.

I'll keep this simple: For PvP, pick the weapons you like using. It's all balanced, so the numbers don't matter (unless it's the Iron Banner). I have an semi-automatic shotgun that I found at level 16, and I love it. Now, at level 21, I still use it in PvP. For PvE, pick the weapon with the highest damage. The first number is the attack power the gun has with no upgrades. The second number (after the '/') is the attack power once the weapon has been fully upgraded.

The big number at the top is the overall attack rating of a weapon (dps). The impact rating refers to the damage for each bullet. Compare a hand cannon and an auto rifle (even at the same level), and see that the dps is similar but the hand cannon may one shot little enemies due to the high impact rating.

Bump. Anyone know which is best a high attack or high impact? What's the deal with guns having two attack numbers

Edited by Malfar: 9/11/2014 3:50:48 AMThis really isn't a question for the #Help forum. But this would be a good question for the #Destiny forum. I'm going to move this over there. Perhaps someone there has some insight to offer on this subject. But on a side note, I heard the more impact the better..
