Discuss all things Destiny.

So little time to decide.

Even though I myself have said "how can others help you? it's what you want." I'm going to ask people to try to help, anyway. I still haven't decided on a class. I'll be playing Destiny at about 3:00 p.m. tomorrow. Not much time to make my choice. I like the look of the Hunter, I like the Hunter Bladedancer's ability to become invisible... but I also like the Titan Defender's Ward of Dawn. I've been struggling with this decision for weeks and still haven't come to a conclusion. Note: I only want to use one character. Maybe down the road I'll want a second, but at least for right now, one is all I want. I don't want my character to look like a tank, or some bulky knight. That's a reason why I'm hesitant to choose the Titan. I've seen a few pictures of Titans that don't look like boulders, but not many. There's also the... I guess, feeling of community within the class? I've always loved being a stealthy player, as my name suggests, and the Hunter is the more stealth-oreiented class. I feel like maybe if I choose the Titan, I might get jealous when I see a Hunter, because I might think, "That stealth-oriented class... that just -is- me..." It might seem right now that the obvious choice for me is the Hunter, but really, I'd love to have that Ward of Dawn shield that the Titan Defender has. This paragraph will only might only be relevant to players of Mass Effect 3, but even if you haven't played it, give it a read: When the game came out, in multiplayer I would always play as an Infiltrator (the class with an invisibility power, for those who haven't played the game) with a Sniper Rifle (although I'd be an Asari Adept sometimes too). When the free multiplayer DLC that included the Asari Justicar was announced, I was so excited. I saw in the trailer that it had a shield-type ability and I was really looking forward to using it. (even though it ended up not being an ability that would block enemy fire.) My excitement for that ability shows how much I'd really love to have the Ward of Dawn. Not only am I particularly interested in the Titan Defender's super, but I'm especially uninterestedin the Bladedancer's *gasp*. I'm not planning on being that close to enemies often enough for the power to be all that useful. Also, throwing knives to me aren't that interesting either. Note: I'm planning on playing PvE the vast majority of the time That's all I got, for now. Any advice would be appreciated.

 • The Defender codex is easily the better subclass. It's the ultimate support class. Unfortunately, it's only useful if you're in a fireteam or in PVP. Striker is decent (I liked it), but it's not as cool as the hunter. Bladedancer and Gunslinger are both fairly versatile classes, equally good for both solo and coop play. But the Defender Codex is unbeatable in a team, really. I'd say that if you're going to consistently be in a fireteam, choose Titan. If you're more of a lone wolf, go hunter.
