Whatever was done to melee, I considered it a big FU to people who love boxer. I always bash, and when the other person bashes after and I die... that is robbery to people who are genuinely good a getting the melee attack. I've been in situtations where I've hit someone twice... they should go down. Is the next fix going to screw over people that are great at sticking?

I think bungie staff is retarded.... No one was complaining about H2 beat downs but they insist on taking the 'smart road' and doing what they think will make the game more efficient. Halo 3's melee has taken a hard core turn for the worst. Ive been too busy to keep up with Bungie news this past cpl weeks, but lately ive been screeming "damn Bungie"! more than usual during games. Once a master at the bash your helmet in attack now it seems like ive been losing every melee contest I encounter....... This player is left wondering...why?????? I havnt changed my tactics, I have 5meg high speed open connection with no interfearing devices, a good connection, and yes, of course, skill ha ha ha... so that leaves only 1 problem to my knowledge... bungie..... I love you guys but really......come on guys.... Have the video to prove how horrable its been. OH and when I shoot someone in the head they should die, when I shoot them in the head twice they should definately be dead, when ive shot them twice in the head with the snipes and meleed them and then they hit me and I drop.... Thats just wrong.... still mad..... Won 2 games in a row on lone wolves and my rank DROPPED!! 43 to a 42!! took a first and second then m y rank dropped..... Much love to bungie, but really guys..

Maybe im missing something. but myself and my friends hate the new melee but it was never really a problem with the more life wins melee battles thing things. TRUE, it's lame in my oppinon, but it was more about the lunge, OR LACK THERE OF. You will see plenty of times people just blindly swinging at someone trying to hit thjem only for nothing to happpen cuz they are not 1 inch away from them. If anything should be brought back from halo 2 it's the lunge. And am i correct in reading that now, if both people lunge at each other there is a chance BOTH will die??!!??. Have you have been in a situation where two people have a shot gun and you both shoot each other and both die...yeh it's stupid. There are gonna be a lot of complaints that people are all dying at the same time and then back to the drawing board. Also seeing as you bungie yourself have now stated that a random variable is no replacement of skill, does that mean you will next address the Battle Rifle spread random variable? Anyway im just glad to see that bungie is trying to figure things out ya know, but it's hard to play halo 3 now. So many little problems sigh.

Bungie is officially retarded. Make the melee system like it was in Halo 2. Who cares if there is a "3 frames blah blah", there were far less complaints. Have you noticed how COD4 and Gears of War both do a "whoever hits melee first" rule and no one complains. Just because the game creators and designers can't touch the good players (hence the reason the pistol in H1 was weakened in h2, the developers didn't like that better players would 3 shot them, as they charged with their ARs), doesn't mean you should screw over the series anymore than you already have. Remake some of the maps from the past (back when bungie knew what the hell they were doing) like Wizard, Beaver Creek and Chillout, switch the melee system back to halo 2's and fix the respawn system (Halo 1's was better than this trash) Who else is really playing Halo 3 anymore besides the competitive community? All the casual gamers have moved on to better things, might as well help out the good players for a change. The one thing I never understood is why they dont have a Team Sniper or Team Swat Hopper because in Halo 2 that was very popular and alot of people played it. Thats like the only things me and my friends ever played.

Honestly, if you were a fan of the old system then you were the one firing second and pressing B second and still winning the contest. No speed was not the issue, b/c 4.6Mb is more than fast enough. The H2 system worked perfectly and allowed the erasing of a surprise attack or a mistake (it was not broke). As far as connectivity or lag, 90% of the games that my friends and I have played against "50's' are all laggy. It is a real mystery though we just can't seem to figure it out(sarcasm). How does that one guy bring down everyone else's connection? That should be the specific target for looking at connectivity tampering. No, I have no ambitions in life of going pro and no I don't think putting that I am a 50 on a resume will get me further in life. I play only for fun and being cheated is only more of the same from the H2.

so..will this auto update fix the armor glitches as well? cuz as it is i've already been cheated out of two pieces of armor.

Um. Honestly, i didnt understand what they updated. What did they update? .. I read for a while and found out some stuff about how much hp people have. and that people with faster connections win a beat down fight.. How was it fixed ?

I don't get it... It said that each player has 115 points of hp, 45 are body points and 70 are sheild points. melee takes away 70 points, an AR bullet takes away 7.5, and a BR takes away 6.... but what about headshots?.... If I shoot someone in the head with three bursts of a BR, then melee them, that should kill them, but then when I shoot someone in the leg three times with a battle rifle then melee.... It doesn't kill them... Also, why is it that when I melee somebody first, then shoot them with one burst in the face with my BR, it kills them, but when I shoot them once in the head first, then melee, they don't die? 1st off, I just wanted to post something on here, so I'm not necessarily quoting the person above me b/c I couldn't find a regular post button. my bad. 2nd, 1st page posts...I didn't know there was something special about them but okay?... and 3rd, I read the entire article on the melee fix and the damage point system is amazing! It seems like the point damage for the brute shot from Halo 2 to Halo 3 is a bit weaker though...but that's just me I guess. I do miss the head melee's with the bomb, ball, etc. were one hit kills and not just any melee attack...but okay again. Digging the melee system. and 4th, why don't elites have as many armor permutations as spartans do? It feels as if elites are discriminated. We have feelings to you know....:( more armor variations please? :)

Firstly, it's just annoying to go into a match and get "defaulted", Spartan or Elite. There's no reason for it to be happening. Once we choose our custom armor in the options it should be "set in stone". Ocassionally when I have this happen it'll randomally get "fixed during the match after getting killed and respawning. Not often though. This needs to be fixed. Security shoulders, yeah lots of people have earned them legit and then had them up and relock on them for no apparent reason and no way at all to get them back. A friend of mine earned his some months back and had them shortly after relock on him. At present he has all but 2 of the achievements. As seen in my avatar, I too have them unlocked. But I just can't shake the feeling of paranoia of losing them unexpectedly. Every time I get on Halo 3 the first thing I do is check my armor settings, to make sure I haven't lost them(Security is my favorite shoulders). This is a nasty bug. Much more important to fix than the freaking Commando shoulders.

YAY melee tweaked. 1 question, will they still reduce ur shields if you win the melee? while this melee latency thing has been fixed, it still doesnt change the latency when i snipe some1 in the head a split second b4 they snipe me, they win and only their shield is reduced! But thankyou bungie for realising been constantly paired up with american hosts is majorly unfair. lvl 50, here i come.

Hey bungie, in the auto-update, are you going to be nerfing the assualt rifle slightly? It seems to make most other guns obsolete, which makes for some pretty boring gunfights...
