Oops, I Fracked Up Again... LOL

So I bought a whole bunch of new kit JUST to play Destiny. New TV, new tournament level headphones, new Elgato HD (didn't buy the 60fps one as Destiny runs at 30 anyway), Blue Snowball Mic to record tutorials for our clan along with a new mixer (my existing mixer is a LITTLE bit big). new wiring etc, etc. The PC was wired up to the Xbox One via the Elgato, the headphones linked to the TV (so that when I run various items the optical picks up the audio from the TV and no having to switch the wires aroun). Everything was planned out and executed perfectly. So I get all the TV mounted on the hanging panel, wired up the HDMI, network cables, optical cables etc for the TV and was ready to hang it on the wall. We lifted the 55" TV up and went to hook it up to the wall plate and... "Errrmm.... where are the tabs on the TV part we need to hook up to the panel?"... asked my friend. *I look... and look again and realise something is wrong... NO TABS! * "DOH!" Yes... in all the excitement in getting ready for Tuesday I had managed to put the plate on the TV UPSIDE FRICKIN DOWN. All the wires snap-tied to the frame, everything sorted out neatly so the power was well away from the signal wires.... and everything had to be pulled apart again and redone from scratch. It wasn't a simple setup because I had to sort out the audio mixing too... still think I can do better. So the moral of the story is this... When getting excited about a game DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING YOU DO because you will definitely forget stuff. And I mean CHECK EVERYTHING. Because the second time we put it on the wall it didn't work at all and we collectively panicked... turned out all we had done was knock the power lead out the back of the TV slightly heh... but for a while we thought we had killed it. Oh and for my helpful friend... if I hear you singing (or attempting to sing) "Oops I did it again!" I will most definitely not let you play on my nice shiny new setup. GIT heh... But thanks man, appreciated it.

 • I bought headphones to play destiny amd they needed the yellow and white component cables. And I use hdmi. Thankfully I already had the cables to make it work but it could have been a waste of 30 bucks.
