A "challenge" for Christians

If you can give one logical fact that god exists without using "faith", "you just have to believe" or anything with a bible reference I will convert immediately and go to church every Sunday.

    • People use religion as a scapegoat for the truth. My mail is delivered everyday but I never see the mailman. Is he god?

      • If the universe is ever expanding, what is in the other side of the universe? Before the Big Bang, what was there? If the universe is expanding, can you hit the end? What would happen? Under what conditions can life begin from nothing?

      • Well what was before the big bang? Gas and dust floating in space? Where did they come from? I believe in science but I also believe God made science. So my evidence would be everything. There are several books on the topic but what's interesting is that several scientists and journalists have gone on a personal journey to prove God doesn't exist, but by the time they are done they have been converted to Christianity. "but some Christians have also converted to other religions and even become atheist." . Sure but that's usually because of a tragedy the person goes through and asks 'if God exists, why did this happen to me.' with that said, it's not something that you can force upon someone. You would need a legitimately open mind to the idea and search for the answer. You can't sit back and say "show yourself". Wouldn't you agree that if you wanted to get involved GOD you would need to put some effort into it? This was longer than I thought it was going to be, sorry lol.

      • You can't convert someone who is hell bent on being atheist that's just not how it works I wish it didn't but all we can do try to plant a seed then pray. Also man, telling us to convert you with out using the Bible is like telling a firefighter to put out a fire without water or that foamy stuff, or like trying to buy something without money. But even if you hate us, me, or Jesus we still love you. One final note do you hate Jesus?
if you answered yes then how can you hate something you said doesn't even exist?
There are lots of proofs that God exists. Here are four of many. 1) Art: beauty doesn't originate from unordered chaos (chaos theory). Organization requires a pre-existing intelligence. 2) Life: a functional form of beauty. 3) History: the history of the world past, present, and future has been recorded from the perspective of God's interaction with it in the Bible, which is proven to be more credible than Homer's Illiad in terms of accuracy relative to other works and reproducibility of the original text. 4) Resurrection: every man's greatest problem is death. 1/1 people die. If God created everything and loved his creation, he would care about this problem. So he came to Earth as Jesus, conquered death, and offered us eternal life with him. Jesus is the only way to have eternal life, and he's a historical figure recorded not only in the Bible.

        • 2 things bro: 1) faith comes first, then the fulfillment of your faith will come to pass. 2) What kind of faith is one created through intellectual defeat? Or God being proven? That's not loving God without needing to see Him, that's simply believing in God because you know the correct option. God wants children who love Him, not servants who acknowledge Him.

          • I will say this I used to be an atheist. I went to church simply because a friend of mine did and talk me into it. and I knew some of the girls that went there and that probably helped. but after a few months going to church and starting to take it seriously. I could start to feel God. so I decided to get baptized. even though I'm not in the church like I used to be if I'm ever in a bad place mentally I can still close my eyes and feel God's presence. I'm sure this will not convince anyone of anything. whether that's the God in the Bible or not idk but I am absolutely sure there is something bigger and greater than us that shows his presence to us when we look for him. but I think the first step is us looking.

          • You challenged me so let me challenge you. Go to church every Sunday for a month with an open mind and actually listen to the service. And read the bible for like an hour each week for a month (other than on Sunday). Then tell me your view on Christianity, and I mean you HAVE to go to church with an open mind, meaning leave your views at the door and clearing your mind to listen to what's happening and how others translate and relate to the bible. I won't force you to believe in god, but I do think you should actually give it all a chance.

            • I know everyone hates on preachers who have healings during their services for being fake or staged, but I was at one once with my gf's family. My gf had arrhythmia. It gave her chest pain every time we played sports. At this service, she said she felt like she got hit in the chest, and her heart was healed. She no longer has arrhythmia, she no longer gets chest pain. So, the facts you asked for: 1. She had a heart problem. 2. She no longer has a heart problem. I assume a lot of people won't believe me, but I assure you it happened, and she's been healthy for 6 or 7 years now.

                • When the first landing on the moon occurred, the atheist scientists said there would be millions of years worth of space dust on the moon and Neil Armstrong would have to climb out of a hole created by the ship thrusters, but then the Christian scientists stepped in and said no, the earth and moon have been around for only 4000 years and there would only be 2-3 inches of space dust. When Neil Armstrong landed, neither the ship made a giant hole, but his footprint was 2.4 inches deep.

                  • A God in general? I'll take the bait. Red shift has been discovered in relation to celestial bodies. This means they are moving further apart and away as time goes on, meaning that there was a definite 'big bang' starting point to our universe. It takes belief to say that it was not God, but rather a singularity. It also takes belief to say that it was no a singularity, but rather God. This comes down to what you want to believe. I choose to have faith in God because without an infinite reference point, nothing finite has any lasting meaning. Tl;dr- I know I can't change your mind via internet argument, but I will certainly tell you why I believe what I do. :)

                    • I could make up my own religion right now, it would be no less valid than Christianity. All you need is faith and anything can be true. I like to think that God is real, but strictly only in the minds of those who believe him to be so. If you don't believe in him then he doesn't exist it's as simple as that. Although many Christians and Atheists will disagree with that statement. IMHO, religion throughout the ages is absolutely bloodstained.
