While always online can have it's benefits (preventing save hacking and other exploitation). There are many more problems that it presents. If servers go down/are attacked by DDoS or possibly just die from the amount of players, no one will be able to actually play the game until the issue is fixed. That said, I already know that there are going to be days, where there will be server maintenance and people will rage because they can't even play the campaign until the maintenance is completed. Really, the way Bungie wants the game to work and the way they intend to support it is impossible to do without always online but, there are going to be issues and hopefully people understand this. The game is basically a console "MMO" so you're always going to be online, it's just how it is. There's no point in raging, always online also allows Bungie to constantly view statistics about players and will help relay data to them and help them constantly support it. Overall I'd say that support from Bungie will be the biggest plus. I've been playing MMO's for years, so maybe I'm just used to the concept but that's just me. So I guess to sum up my rambling, all I'm saying is there's no use getting butt-hurt over the fact that the game servers may go down or that the game is always online. The game is going to be well supported and I know that Bungie will be able to deliver the game we're all hoping it will be. Just think of the game as more of a "MMO" because that's what they're hoping it will be. If you continue to think of Destiny as a standard single player Console game, than you're going to be sadly disappointed.
