Gamestop commercial jokes with prox chat
The commercial literally shows prox chat. The commercial is joke but it represents the reality where situations can be useful like asking for help or how they had a full conversation without being in a party.
Just saying, there's a laundry list of features that need to be added as well as plenty that still could be I.e. pvt matches..
If your excuse for not having prox chat is you don't want to hear children screaming cool thanks your opinion has been noted since the end of halo 2 over decade ago. This isn't mp cod. All you casuals need to stop trying to get the game made the way that best suits you. This game is made to be social. I'm an adult and know many adults that wish in such a world we could walk past people and just say hi, ask if they need help or are willing to help or compliment their armor. Fumbling with 14 menus and using an onscreen keyboard is slow. Ffxi on fxcking ps2 had a better communication system.

plus if someone is squeaking in prox chat you can mute them and give negative feedback on their profile, at least on Xbox.

I highly agree with this. I think that prox chat would be great in destiny, it would really work well with the other social features of the game. I think that it should be like being in game chat in other games. You can mute someone if you want or just change to party chat if you want to only talk to your friends.

1 ReplyThis is how easy it is, you message people ask them if they want to party or you can be that guy in most mmo's and send random fireteam invites hoping to talk to someone in a party... what does that sound like, Well no shit sounds like real life people either want to talk to you or they don't, I don't need to be playing a video game and have to listen, to a DUMB conversation between two players about how cool this weapon is or arguments over stupid shit. Sorry Proxy chat can be a bad idea depending on the ppl you are around in that area.

2 RepliesWell giving the time period prox chat would have killed most people and be a lot more lag... not like Jeuno wasn't bad enough... and plus compared to 18 being on one section (believe that's the number) to the ... what 60-90 people in jeuno areas? But then again using keyboard to type of FPS style to a rpg would be a pain in the butt. So I do hope for a Prox chat, or something close to that.

Proximity chat would be useful in the tower, to make friends or try to anyway. I'm not sure about being in the wild though. I feel that it may break game immersion.

"Frontlines; fuel of war" was the first game I played with Prox chat. It worked great and no issues. I see no reason why it can't be incorporated here..

I mean it was pretty easy for me to form groups I played on the ps4 so I always asked people to turn on their mic so they did. The only time that didn't happen was because some guy's cat ate his. I guess prox chat really is needed huh? I have had bad experiences with prox chat in many video games, and I also hear it can cause lag. I would probably always have mine off if they put it in anyway
