Honestly, it's amazing how many excuses you guys can come up with for Destiny
Seriously, the faster we can admit that Destiny has flaws, the faster we can actually discuss the game
Really, do you actually except this game to be the best game ever or so good that you'll skip school or work for it??
I love Destiny as much as anyone (not you guys though) but honestly it's just a game
The conversations you guys hold really worry me
"Deej, please cancel his preorder. We don't want him to experience your epic creation" - some fanboy who responded to a legit concern
Seriously??
You guys need to admit that it has some flaws
No split screen?
That's a big flaw
"Modern games have no need for split screen"
"Split screen holds the game back"
Really?
If Bungie had added split screen I can guarantee that no one will be complaining how split screen is such a thing of the past
No proximity chat
Another big one
With how much Bungie is emphasizing teamwork, you would expect a ways to communicate with others right?
You're seriously very alone in the "social" world of Destiny
"I don't want people raging through my mic"
Then mute them
Is it really that hard to spend five seconds to mute someone??
These features are optional
You don't want them, don't use it
They're easy to add but still
You guys defend Bungie like they're always right
And after the beta, there were obviously many features that we didn't like or didn't see
"ITS JUST A BETA"
I hate that so much
We were a month from launch
Did you really except them to add all your beloved features in?
Whatever you saw in the beta, that's it
From the beta to the launch is just to smooth out bugs or to fix up any technical problems
And they really didn't try to hold back in the beta
Don't try the "they blocked off a large percentage of the beta" thing
"We're treating the beta as its own product. It's going to be big. We're throwing everything we got at this thing" - some interview with Bungie
It was advertised as the preorder bonus and its own grand journey
Honestly, it left a lot to be desired
I'm not going to say what the beta failed at because every game has flaws
I'm okay with that
It's just the community coming to defending every mistake that pisses me off
Now after the beta and you get more and more info, toy realize that the content is much smaller than you thought and that it doesn't live up to expectations
You then try to push the problem away by saying "DLC! DLC!"
"Private matches in DLC"
"More planets in DLC"
Seriously, the fact that there are DLCs in the first place is terrible
The game should come with the full game
Not as a disc with downloads later on
Trust me, DLCs don't offer that much
From what I've seen of Destiny, DLCs are likely to include
-Couple of new missions
-Some new guns and items
-New maps
Do you really expect this game to be all that??
And when you find a legit concern, you mark it off as a O/1O troll to avoid addressing the problem
#Destiny is basically
Praise Destiny
No opinions
That being said, I love Destiny
It's a great game
Not the best or groundbreaking but very good
But this forum is very self defeating
You post questions that you already "know" the answers to
"Will there be/Will you do/Why would you Blah Blah Blah in Destiny?"
How do you know what's going to be in Destiny?
You want so much in this game that of course you're going to think that it's all included
This is the same argument you use on people with concerns for the game
"You don't know what Destiny is like so don't criticize it"
Yet you go right back to daydreaming about your beloved features that you want in the game
Once (if) you finally realize that Destiny isn't perfect, we can have discussion
"Oh this weapon/feature/map/gamemode is lacking. What can we do to fix it?"
Or
"Oh man, this weapon/map/mission/feature totally sucks. Let's see what we can do to make it better"
But there's none of that because you think the game is perfect
Let's please come back to Earth and be real
Thanks
Edit:
I'm not complaining about the game
I'm complaining about fanboys defending it

Im still exitied about the game i was alittle disappointed with some aspects but its a game so i dont care to much. I can see how people will get upset at no split screen when there is a mp playlist. It was lazy on their part forsure. Coop splitscreen i dont care about but again i see how that could upset players

You sir need to get a better sense of humor, by the war you are on the internet FYI.
-
Split screen isn't a flaw screw that
-
Agree that destiny isn't perfect but it is still a fantastic blend of the best features from my favourite games and genres which is why I'm more excited for this game than any other.
-
The fact that you took the time to point out the flaws of a game to claim to not like proves that either you secretly like the game or have too much free time on your hands.

Edited by DEZARATH: 8/24/2014 4:27:58 PMNot much to do about it. I have a lot issues with Destiny... But I still hold Bungie as one of the last developers I'll buy day one from. My more rational side says. Wait and read reviews. While more impulsive side says -blam!- that you loved Firefight and you can grind like pro on your head while sleeping. Stop worrying about manual space flight, we'll catch that with other games. As you can tell its never lonely for me when I'm standing in Costco going more Christmas bulbs? Really? Yes, get em! I disgress. Other than that all you can do is simply wait for the reviews or go day one. What's probably going to happen is Destiny is going to be big flop on day one due to technical issues like GTA V. So perhaps you should hold off unwrapping it and sit back and let the real player feed back filter in as the day progresses. Then you can return it if it's all doom and gloom. I got a feeling it's going to be fine on day one though, but we'll see. If anything these forums are going to be awesome with strife.

Are you a game producer/maker? If yes, then great, good job. If no, you then have no idea why Bungie does something or doesn't do. Of course the more content you have, the better. But you can't have everything. But I agree, those who come up with dumb excuses are being really stubid. But also, those people who complain, sometimes are being stubid aswell, people will also react in negative ways if someone says "no split-screen wtf bungie, im cancelling my pre-order"
-
Agreed
-
Honestly, I couldn't give a toss about split screen. Why did I buy a giant tv just to watch half of it. I always found split screen distracting as well
-
so what is you reasoning behind these flaws? Stating others opinions and not your own makes this post mute... What makes split screen so important to you? Why is the exclusion of proximity chat so bad?
-
I came here to be impressed and got bored listening to another winge about the stuff you personally want in the game. YAWN
-
Shut up Inglorious. Everyone knows Destiny is perfect and adding things that makes games great is wrong
-
I read the title and my first thought was of my dick.
-
"Who is more foolish? The Fool, or the fool who follows him?"
-
funny, posting opinions about other opinions based on other opinions. you're no different.
-
You deserve to be Harvested. That's it. Now let them be. Destiny has flaws (quite minor, from what I saw), but nothing dangerous (like abrupt football/beachball on tower, VAT IZ ZIS???).

Edited by Fresh Pancake: 8/24/2014 11:11:25 PMYou're trying to be intelligent and reasonable, those words aren't even in people's vocabulary here.
-
Thanks for posting this. Its about time someone called out the destiny fanboys BS over how much they suck bungies dick.
-
You had me, then you lost me as soon as you mentioned split screen
-
I think you lot need to Let it go Let it go
-
I realized your insane after reading only 1% of your post.. I really hope I never encounter your presence in the game, you'll ruin my experience. But please have fun playing Destiny.
-
Dude there is too many bungie fanboys that suck on their teetz that they automatically dismiss criticism.
-
This is why you should just play games on PC...no one ever thinks about split screen. Okay I'm partially kidding. I play PC and consoles because it's about the games, not the system. I remember split screen...and all I want to know is WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU WANT THAT?! Minecraft allows you to do it I guess...but then you have to either squint to see your inventory or sit a foot away from the TV - like going back from having an HDTV to an old mega console TV circa 1975. It diminishes the experience graphically at the very least. I get the desire for local play but claiming that those of us who like the game as is and aren't pitching fits over something we don't want are mindless fanboys is a stretch.
-
They actually did make a lotta small changes going fro meta to full game launch but the changes are small and like 4 of them r bigg
-
Dude by the way it's not that hard to invite someone to ur party
-
No split screen isn't a really big flaw there a lotta other games coming out that don't have split Creek so ya
