I'm Happy PPL Dont Want Raid MatchMaking
Im glad about this. There [i]shouldnt[/i] be PUG raiding. Its supposed to be something to achieve. Something [i]hard[/i]. I dont see why people want it to be handed to them.
Join a clan. Or a group. Come to bnet. Reddit. There are an assload of communities thriving around this game. And most want more members. Go meet people.
But ive seen a big push from people like me who dont think raids should have matchmaking. That increases the speed of my hype train. Makes me giddy.

5 RepliesI think the raids in Destiny are going to unlike anything seen before in fps. In all the cooperative pve games I've played, a mic and good teamwork has never been a requirement. It helps, but isn't necessary... In Destiny, we're seeing something new, and could be the most challenging pve game type of any game!

And being that destiny is very limited with player chat/interaction I may not ever be able to do a raid without matchmaking. Love it or hate it the OPTION should be available.

6 RepliesI myself at first overreacted. I was upset without giving much thought. Then I thought about it and had a good talk with some friends about it and it all made sence. The only thing I'm worries bout now, I hope the raid is 10% as hard as they make it out to be. I've seen way too many companies that say the content is going to be so hard we will beg for a nerf. Just to have it release and be destroyed by the average player. I want content that will make me hate my controller again like it use to be.

8 RepliesIf you don't want Matchmaking that is fine but they can put it in the game, you don't have to use it. I don't get why people care if it's in the game, it doesn't affect you Mr Popularity......I personally don't care either way but I think people care way too much.

6 RepliesI like that raids are more work and require a commitment. I don't want matchmaking for raids. Don't want randoms dropping out when the S hits the Fan. Matchmaking is fine for strikes, we can make lots of friends leading up to level 25 in plenty of time for the raid. I'm ready to play, 15 days. See you all starside.

2 RepliesRaid matchmaking is not the bad thing everyone seems to think it is. Personally i don't really care add it, don't add it. Destiny is supposed to be a social game, but it has no social tools, no chat functions, even the party/fireteam voice chat didn't seem to work. You should never have to leave the game to find other people to play with, all those functions need to be included within the game.

5 RepliesI dont see the big problem with MM. Ppl always said that MM is for noob and stuff like that. Bit is not a big deal. If you have 5 friend raid with them, if your dont have the 5 froends and want to do some raid. Use the MM, if things dont go well using MM well to bad, but ppl dont have anything to loose.

If it was there and didn't work anyway, because it's really impossible to do with randoms, what's the point? All the same people clamoring for it right now will be the same people who try and incite a forum riot because the MM is stupid and they still can't complete the raid. Then we will tell them, "Hey, you got your MM, perhaps you should join a clan or find some people on the forums," like we are now, and they will still say that's stupid and they are excluded from part of the game. People won't ever be happy.

52 RepliesMatchmaking = bad. You don't want to do raids with just about any random person available... Which is what is going on right now. Everyone is just adding whoever happens to be available, joining every group possible, building up their friends list for raids by [i]adding random people[/i]. Tell me how this is different from matchmaking, except for the fact that they now have a crapload of randoms on their friends lists who could be no better than the matchmaking groups and fill your notifications with all kinds of cluster they probably don't give a crap about. So yeah, people already found a workaround for not having matchmaking, but they aren't doing anything different from what the matchmaking itself would have done. What is needed is not a matchmaking, but a better system for finding groups. MMORPGs have chat channels and list features for finding groups, and while chat channel is not a viable option for a console game, a list is. All we need is a bulletin board where you can look for a raid group, putting your character's information publicly available on the list and possibly adding a tag or a short note to inform people of your time limits, skill, whatnot.

3 RepliesRaids will only be difficult if you're a turbo scrub, just like Legendary difficulty in the Halo games. Just give me MM so I can fill my backpack with casuals to carry and we are good to go.

3 RepliesTHANK YOU. Almost everyone on here is calling bungie stupid for not having matchmaking in their raids. I know that if I play a raid, I don't want to be matched up with idiots, assholes, or people who don't have a mic.

2 RepliesReal problem with MM is that they promote the foolish idea to be able to jump in a raid and clear in one go without training. Some ppl think that 6-8h on first run will let them clear it while it won't FPS players that never tried a raid (no borderland 2 don't have real raids) will think that MM is reasonable, just a option, will not bring problems or things like that. That is wrong. Bungie took MM out to force those ppl out of FPS mentality (I go online when I want and play with whoever is online) to enter raiding mentality (I find a group in which we organize when to train next time and I train with them). Availability of MM prevent FPS player to come out of their mentality and thus prevent them from clearing raids 100% sure regardless of how much skill they have Other common misconception is that it's skill that you need to clear a raid. Skill help you to do that faster but what you need is training in that fight And on everyone that says that destiny need more communications means than what was in beta: You are absolutely right on that but MM is not a solution to that problem

RAID matchmaking, if it was implemented, could be like LOL. Players would be auto-categorized into a particular role best suited to their class/subclass/skill.
