So what is your favorite music from a game, rules are no actual songs from a irl artist like "the touch" from saints row 4. The music had to be composed for that game.
Mine is the opening theme for the legend of Zelda: ocarina of time. Every time I hear that tune I get major nostalgia to when I got the game back when I was 8 or so. It was my first real fantasy game and it blew my mind from start to end. Every time I wake up and see the morning dew, mist on the water sunlight breaking through the trees and crows barking to the dawn I think of that song and it gives me chills everytime.
A very close second is lord Gwyn's theme during the final fight of dark souls. The fight really stands out as the last fight in the game, no 3 gargoyles no tricks no enemy spawns just you and him. It gives that sense of weight to the player, the cavern far below with everything you accomplished before above you, everything you achieved led to this fight. It truly stands out as one of the best boss fights ever. The only reason it's not #1 is because you actually have to play the fight to really feel how the music connects everything you've accomplished in one song and fight. And if you haven't I highly recommend dark souls 1, you won't regret it

I'm a fan of Skyrim's music to be honest. Most of it is pretty amazing to my ears. But with Warframes new update the musical improvements are pretty phenomenal

I liked the Saints Row 3 song (power) but the game was crap
-
I wish Two Steps From Hell would make scores for games instead of just music for epic trailers. C'mon Heart of Courage for the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer? That was amazing.

Edited by Bistromathics: 8/23/2014 1:37:26 PMSword and Sworcery EP has an amazing soundtrack. Can't wait for Below (same dev and composer). Halo 3: ODST also had some kick-ass music. Honestly, that's probably like half the reason why I like ODST's campaign the most.

The background music for oblivion is instantly recognizable to me. The amount of time I've spent playing that game has plastered it in my head that the music is so good, much like propaganda. At one point I had played the game with such frequency that even with all TVs off in my house, in dead silence, I could here the music playing inside my head.

Heavens Divide or Snake Eater.
